What about the freebies listed in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XEDIT to cure
your longing to XEDIT (editor for VM / CMS )?
Of course, not the real thing, but near enough.

If you cycled TCPIP and not TELNET then it won't work. You will need to
cycle TELNET or whatever the STCs name is that runs the TN3270 connections.

BTW, there is a mailing list that covers all things TCPIP for the mainframe,
including VTAM since we also do SNA still too. It's called IBMTCP-L.
For IBMTCP-L subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions,

Same response as your last similar post.
You give no detail on what tools you currently use. If they are from different
vendors, there is almost no chance of a consolidated view - especially a
rule-based GUI.
John gave you a link to look at and trial - did you bother ?.

AFAIR there is no need to recycle neither TCPIP nor TN3270.

I use it to run authorized programs with TSO CALL from SSH sessions.
Perhaps with familiarity with the APIs one might bypass Rexx and call
its services directly.

Also suggest, how do I test that my SSL setup is working or not.
