I believe there are/were(?) products that allow(ed) dynamic allocation of
steplib, but you never could do it with raw (native) TSO.

Otherwise, if you want a real answer raise a Service Request with IBM since it
is clearly a Defect, then in due course you can advise listers what the APAR
number is.

Hi all,
Your TSOlogon proc would be a good place to look. Possibly a typo on the
steplib concatenation.

Something's funny because I'm sure I converted a clist to rexx 20+ years ago to
loop through a listcat, pick out the steplibs, and put
Hi!
Thanks for the reply!
I'm really trying to fully understand this. Taking a slightly-modified
version of your example IOCP lines below, you're saying that it's the CUNUMBR=
value that ties the CTLUNIT and IODEVICE lines together within the IOCP, but
the DS8000 doesn't care about that.
3278-5 is my favourite.

Hi all,
Why iebcopy to pdse datasets abended with iew2756s-d609
Space is not available on direct access storage, b37-04 but the final
return code equal 0, when we copy 100 members only 90 copied, 10 members
are missing, but return code=0, anyway the final return code not equal zero
