Would IBM recommend that if one of their products has a bug
you simply use one from a competitor?

Just ftp to desktop with an editor like Ultra edit.
It is annoying that the 3.17 has weird limitations for file sizes.

You must make sure the new data sets have the same CI size. If you change the
CI size, you must IPL.

From what I understand, provided you have enough space in CSA to handle the
overflow, the impact will be absolutely nothing.

Hi Peter,
Are you asking if these parameters can be tuned or are you asking if they can
be tuned on the fly? They can be tuned but I believe it takes an IPL to do
so. Each addition of "1" in the ESQA parm adds 64K to the ESQA so to barely
cover the expansion you could change the 160 to 185
There were inaccuracies in a couple of posts but the IBM-Main team did correct
them and, in the end, have the right information.
Don't try to intermix discussing authorization if fetched from the LNKLST with
discussing authorization if fetched from STEPLIB/JOBLIB. They are unrelated.
Don't try

You need an IPL after you update LOADxx and IEASYSxx in order for changes to
SQA and INITSQA to take effect.

Hi all,
We hit the system hang when specific type=all when some jobs contains 5 or
6 thousand lines executes parallel, the init started task almost allocated
100% cpu. System will hang 1 or 2 seconds. IBM recommended to use type =
error instead all. Any shop have same problem before. Appreciate if
Hello
One of our zOS system 2.4 message 'SQA overflow into CSA 1593k(RMF III).
Under MXI tool I can see ESQA shows a overflow value of 1593k.
Current SQA value in IEASYS00
12,160
CSA
2500,30
Is it something I can retune the above parameter ?
Peter
