John,
I read the doc. It describes ACF2 coverage for UADS functionality. But what
happens if ACF2 refuses to start? In RACF, the UADS dataset is saved in
RCVTUADS. I looked at ACCVT mapping macro and there is no such field.
ITschak
*| **Itschak Mugzach | Director | SecuriTeam Software
UADS is in a bypass state. However, I still wonder what happens if ACF2
fails to start and we need to authenticate with UADS. Where is the UADS
dataset name saved? I don't think we can access the MSTRJCL data area (I
don;r think it is documented anywhere).
*| **Itschak Mugzach | Director
I looked at RCVT in an ACF2 system, but the RCVTUADS is nullified. How can
I locate the active UADS in this case?

STCs can be started with a unique name (S xxx.yyy where yyy make it

There are some 3rd party products that load modules to modified LPA (CSA or

PDF is an alias of ISPF. you can use ISPF TEST just to load ISPF again.

Gadi,
During development, once you logged-on, exit ISPF to TSO and enter PFG
TEST. the TEST operand will cause ISPF to read the panel definition from
the dataset every time you reference it.

CICS does not require a CICS segment, so if you do not block the user at
the APPL, the default user CICS segment inherented to the user. Still don't
understand why the helpdesk users password authentication fails if it works
under TSO.

How about appl class? If the user is not authorized to the cics applid, he
can't login.
Btw, why (and how) is their password different on cics? If racf recognize
they have the special attribute, it seems this is the same racf...

Lionel,
Do you want to display the exact copy of the ISPF display in HTML? is this
what you are looking at (Without the logic parts as )INIT, )REINIT, PROC,
etc.)?

Rex,
I think the emulation of Z is only one step. the next step is moving to
modern languages as you go.

Still, is it a one to one application? I mean, user logon to his own TSO
account? BTW, if you do not need SSL, you don't need to use the web
enablement. it is more complex to use. simple rexx TCPIP support is
sufficient.

The problem was solved years ago outside of the mainframe. I am sure there
are vendor reps here to tell.

There was such application (except the logon issue) part of ispf but i
think it was deprecated (tx god, it was very unsecure).
Is it a one region for one user application? If so, you do not need to
manage sessions like a web server, just a simple listener in rexx. There is
a French product that
A simpler way is to write the protocol yourself. It requires zero
configuration other than a set of certificates. Have a look at z/os web
enablement toolkit (Http/https protocol enabler portion). Works great and
fully supports Rexx.

Lionel,
OMVS has many options, ope of them is scroll/noscrolk. But why not redirect
output to a file? This way you don't need to see or scroll the list and can
later review errors.

OK. Ent. Cobol 4.x and forward. The program may run under CICS or batch. I
would like to use a standard, RACF stored certificate for this instead of
CSNDDSG which uses a private key from ICSF.

I know i can digitally sign with icsf. However, the requirement is to use s
certificate and private key.
Possible?
