I you got it out of SMS, and not enough data gets loaded so a 2nd or third
vol is needed, it will only show a single vol-ser. If you run a listcat of
the dataset does it show an '*" for the 2 volumes not used yet ??

Most shops have a STORCLAS(NONSMS) defined which allows sys-progs to bypass
all SMS allocations and use vol-ser for placement. If you have that defined
then create a KSDS with STORCLAS(NONSMS) VOLUME(xx) trk(1 0).

When we did add a non-apf authorized lib to our CICS concatenation, the
CICS startup abends immediately. Once we authorized it, CICS comes up OK. I
realize this is just one application but it is where you tend to get a lot
of libs concatenated (DB2 procs also). We did not try to execute anything
If any IAM dataset owners have FDR in their shop, It backs up and restores
IAM files perfectly as both products are from Innovation DP.

If you issue a listcat on the DATA or INDEX it should show the
CLUSTER---x name unless the cluster was 'deleted noscratch' which
removes the name from the catalog and leaves the data/index files on dasd.
