Yes. Even though i couldn't find a specific article that gives step-by-step
directions, I was able to find a lot of information on tuning where it
covers all the points we discussed .
Anyways , thanks a lot for your help . I truly appreciate the time and
effort of all experts in IBM MAIN

It's unlikely you'll find every possible option itemised
Thank you Shane .
So , to summarize
a) I need to start with option 2 - extract definition from WLm couple
dataset
b) make the changes (adding the scheduling environment)
c) Install the service definition from utilities menu bar ans specify
overwrite existing service definition
d) Activate

The only dumb question is the one that I should have asked but

Probably yes, but you should try to find your local procedures.
I assume the definitions will also be saved in a dataset, for backup purposes,
or for transporting

Hi all ,
Apologize for asking a dumb question . Since i have not worked with WLM
before .
We are on Z/os 1.13 . I just need to create a scheduling environment in WLM
similar to another SE that already exists .
From the manuals , i see that i can use copy function from the WLM SE
selection list

There are about a thousand questions here that we should have answers to
but don't, so please bear with me here.
We have a customer with a CICS transaction hang problem that happens
intermittently at high load times. We've been able to verify that it's
making it out
1) Are you using transaction management or region management?
2) As a diagnostic tool, set the RMF III interval to 15 seconds (instead of
default 100) so that you can see what is happening.

Thanks to all who have replied-all good grist for the mill. At least everyone
didn't say Oh, yeah, that's when WLM does x so it's obviously that. (Well,
maybe not at least - that might have been a GOOD thing!)
We're getting with the customer today to find out more.
