Cheryl,

Thank you for all the knowledge, experience, and guidance over the years. I
appreciate all you've done for the mainframe ecosystem, from the Tuning Letters

learned from your questions here on IBM-MAIN as much as your answers. I look

Hi Charles,

We have two websites-one public and one for subscribers only (this is the one

2025, and then will cease to exist. The public one will gradually thin down,

People have asked us to make all the Tuning Letters available in an archive,

Does Meredith use CDS for fulfillment? CDS used to be a mainframe shop here in
town, they converted to IBM i years ago. Meredith was also a good sized
mainframe shop in the past too, but sadly no more. Fewer and fewer local shops
remain.

Good luck with your future endeavors!

Sometime this year all existing mainframe processes will be moved to another
fulfillment house(non-mainframe) for Time Inc (now Meredith Corporation) and
Time Customer Service will be shut down. It's been a great 22.5 years here for
me, I might make it to 23 in August before I'm terminated. After that happens,

After that happens,
who knows what the future brings.

This is the last week that Time Inc employees will be responsible for
our zOS
and zVM Tampa Data Center. Support and services is being
outsourced to IBM and
AT, and sometime in 2016 our mainframe LPARs
will be moved to IBM's zCloud
environment. I'm one of the few Data
Center employees being retained (for
now), but I'm not going to be
directly responsible for the zOS environments
I've lovingly supported
for 20 years after Friday.

I'll still be subscribed
to the mailing list, but without being involved
in new and interesting "stuff"
going forward my ability to contribute
might be limited.
