Hi, Seems you loaded Red Hat Linux 8.0, then MP3s are disabled, but it is very simple to supply MP3 support. Goto, http://www.xmms.org and get the xmms-mpg rpm present. Just install the file by issuing the command rpm -i filename.rpm, where filename is the name of the file on any linux

Hi Tushar When you boot linux in single user mode. Give following command to change your HDD mode to read write again:- # mount -t ext3 -n -o,remount,rw /dev/hda7 / where, ext3 is your filesystem /dev/hda7 is your root partition Also check the Boot log message to know the problem. Regards Jas
