Hey Todd. Those message size limiters have always worked ok for me. 750MB should be 786432000. I found that IMail likes a close conversion. But I have never tried anything that high. When I used IMail 8.15 I stopped at about 200mb. Cheers Mark Todd Richards wrote:

Thanks Mark. I originally had it set for around 200MB but there were a few of our managers who are hitting that limit and I needed to up it. All of the other virtual domains that I have are about 200MB. I will try your new number and see if that helps us out. Todd -Original

What I usually recommend is to use POP on the desktop/laptop with a leave on server and delete after 3 to 5 days. I set the smart phone with IMAP. This way, the users can get their email everywhere without building huge mailboxes on the server. Keeping 3 to 5 days is usually enough as the phone

We POP for both client and Smart Phones(Sony Ericson, IPhone) and leave a copy on the server from the phone...desktop doesn't leave a copy. For our blackberrys we simply use the provided email address (@rogers.blackberry.net) and forward from IMail to that address. Within the blackberry

Hi Todd, In my experience you don't need to up an IMAP account which will increase the disk space usage on your server. BlackBerry's and Treo's you can set up to POP the account which will leave a copy of the message on the server to download to their desktop at a later time. Treo's are done on

Yeah, IMAP is some time a little buggy. But this was the only option to make sure people get their messages over weekends and Holidays. Some people leaves there computer running with automatic get mail running every 15 minutes. Over the weekend, one could miss important emails that would

On my Win based Treo, I use the verizon wireless sync option to keep my phone and outlook synced up. The big advantage of that over both accessing POP3 is that when you delete and answer emails you can see those same results in both places. You do need to always have the desktop running though.

We recommend everyone leave messages for 10 days on all devices so everything goes everywhere. IMAP is nice but when your users are sucking up 2+ GB's of space each you run out of storage pretty quickly. Bill

Thanks everyone for your responses. It's odd, and funny at the same time, that some of my less-technical end-users are getting more techie than I am. That's what happens they are taken by a Storm. On the other hand, I AM techie enough that don't want to get my email everywhere! I have a
