asked Edward to stop after he made one import, covering one
category of objects, wholly in Birmingham (the first of many such sets
wholly in Birmingham).
The Birmingham mapping community overwhelmingly support his action.
Local buy-in has been obtained and confirmed.
If anyone is ignoring that g

that, and thank him for it.
[Also, this is my first post to talk-ie - hello, everyone!]

Edward has already pointed out that he is not adding coordinates, so
the licence issue is a red herring.
This process has been under discussion and development for two years
or more; it's beyond tiresome that people are still trying to block
it.

A "clear no" in the sense that some of us think they're perfectly acceptable

If the if the node, way or relation is tagged, say:
amenity:shop
name=Fred's Shop
then the ID on the same node, way or relation refers to the entity
which is a shop called Fred's shop.
Just like any other tag on a node, way or relation in OSM, like
website, or op
d "toxic comments".
It behoves us all to understand the difference between the two.

I see no reason you should not include this data as originally
proposed. Anyone suspicious of it, or who does not recognise it, can
ignore it.

Time then, perhaps, to drop the insistence on people obtaining
clearance for imports on this global list, and instead to use the most
local list?

Or perhaps NAVADS (or an upstream data holder) has supplied the same
open data to Google as is kindly being offered to OSM here?

Excellent. Do all 1951 have representation in Wikidata (some certainly
will)? And have you matched your data to their Wikidata IDs?

Seconded. That is a sound way to disambiguate two or more people with
the same name.
Again, please let me know if I can assist.

That may be your interpretation; it is most certainly not mine. Do you
have any evidence that anyone other than you interprets links in this
bizarre manner?

Speaking as a human, I'm not in the least insulted by hashtags.
Structured hashtags are less ambiguous than prose and less likely to
cause false positives when searching.

Will you be making your code available, under an open licence, so that
others may use it for similar work in other countries (or for other
databases in France)?
Does the data include a UID for each post office?

Can discussion on this list be conducted in a more collegial tone,
