There is one very interesting thing about vegetative propagation of this
species.
It can be easily grown by the stem cuttings. Obviously you will not cut the
main stem but the leafy branches. But no matter how you keep, the branches
always behave as branches and they never stand up !!! ult

There are two ways to think. Is Habenaria rariflora not a sciophyte? Or
this is first interesting report of it being sciophyte?
A better term should be Habenaria rariflora growing as EPIPHYTE!!
Even while growing in grasses many orchids get shade due to grasses
including few species of Habenaria,
Ofcourse this can never be Corymborkis as they are two totally different
subtribes.

It depends on what you believe. In Jharkhand tribals have negative myths
about Gloriosa superba and hence they cut all the plants growing near their
houses.
The underground part is a white prostrate rhizome which can be used for
cultivation but these are supposed to be too poisonous for handling
Prof A.K.Pandey at Delhi University could be one of the guys to consult for
this matter :)

This plant is Luisia zeylanica.
One difference is the thickness of the leaf which tapers as you go up in
zeylanica where as in trichorhiza it abruptly tapers and ends.
