Sounds more like French (Creole) or possibly Spanish. I'm not sure...lot of
noise and I don't have the facility to reduce the noise here...
I haven't heard the Lubavitcher station in at least a year. Either it's off
or it's overwhelmed by the Boston (Haiatian-Creole) or Spanish-language
Has anyone heard if WWVA 1170 Wheeling, WV has made any progress in replacing

Hi Ken:
It certainly sounds like Spanish to me.
This is, at least, a semi-professional broadcaster.
It has a good bottom-end sonically and it sounds like they know a little about
audio production.
There is a strong religious pirate in the Bronx of New York City in Spanish on
1710
but your
There are no Spanish pirates in the Boston area that I know of. I know of at
least two French-language, the Haitian Crole dialect, actually. One is Radio
Soleil Internationale, the other is Radio Top Inter. Soleil has been heard
very recently. Both are supposedly in the Boston area, where I

Did Ken's recording sound like Creole or Spanish to you?
It sounds like Spanish to me. (but I can be wrong - hi hi)

Hi everyone,
As many of you know I have sent my R8 back to Drake for repairs. The
sensitivity has been dropping. At first I thought it may just be the S
Meter as Drake has had issues with S Meter problems on older receivers.
Also the sensitivity has been dropping very very slowy through the
Karl Saul,
Sorry but I am at work and do not have time to listen to the clip. With regard
to Saul's question as to how both stations co-exist on the same frequency, they
are about 25 miles apart and, presumably, low power. One is in Dorchester, a
neighborhood in Boston, and the other is in

produced program but rather something professional.

From 03:10 to 03:45 UTC good southern conditions for the lower
band. On 750khz there were several Latins clobbering WSB and a
good sounding wobbler. Havn't heard a good wobbler in a while,
so they are still around!

Had pretty much given up on any TA action tonight, as nothing much
heard with occasional checks through the evening, but around 0515UT,
a sudden appearance of reasonable carriers and SAH on 1215. Still
fading in and out at 0535UT, but only other audible carrier (quite
weak) has been 1269.
