That is probably the reason IBOC is off. When they get it fixed,
unfortunately they will probably turn it back onsigh

Not only is their IBOC off, but their frequency is 29.5 Hertz low.

Way before the invention of compact fluorescent and LED lamps, simple drawn
wire tungsten lamps were creating havoc for some TV viewers back in the
1950s. The source of the strange interference was traced down to some
neighbors still burning their 30+ year old tungsten incandescent lamps.

In tuning across the dial a bit ago, I noticed KEX's IBOC was off. Both
KLAY-1180 & CJRJ-1200 have no hiss on them. Also KEX's nice Hi Fi signal
is back.

Kevin,
You must use a lot of bulbs to save that much. Normally in my house I
have a couple bulbs going at any one time at night. Other than that, if
I go into a room I turn the light on to see and then when I leave I turn
it off.

Low voltage halogens make noise from beyond hell. I have a house full of CFLs
and they make ZERO noise. No problem whatsoever. They save me a

All very interesting, but nothing about noise levels. I guess we have to buy
one and do some testing!

Halogen I would think would be more expensive to make. I cannot imagine
too many people buying them for home use. Most are happy with the CFLs.
