Nick,
Thanks for your observations on the 1017 and 1323 CRI programming.
For some unknown reason, I had always thought like you did-- that 1017-CRI had
Korean programming (heard by all of us many times) during our sunrise
enhancement hours, and that 1323-CRI generally carried Russian

My observation in Southern California is that XEMMM has been high in frequency
for at least three years. When I can null KFIG or it takes a fade I can
occasionally make out the programming, which I have been able to match to its
webstream.

CRI's use of 1323 is rather complicated:
There's the Russian service transmitter which is located in Heilongjiang
province and probably beams east or northeast with 600kw, which explains
why we hear it so well. I have it listed in the PAL as switching to
CNR2 at 1500, but that may be out of
Congrats on the KBRV qsl. (I don't think I've ever got one written on a bumper
sticker before). We'll have lots of bumper stickers at the 2014 IRCA
convention!!! I like some of the veries that you've been posting on Facebook.

Gary,
I just checked 1323 kHz via Japanese remote rxs and I could hear BOTH
Russian and Korean from CRI as there should be. If you check carefully,
they are both listed in WRTH 2013. Shuangyashan in Heilongjiang is
listed as 200 kW. Here in Finland I hear CRI Russian, but that is from

Good to hear, Mike! I am working on building up a collection, and have some

Its the lack of time off from work and the $$ that would keep me from
going. unfortunate, but it's the case when you work with a small staff.
I'll go through the pile of stuff Ive been collecting before the convention
happens and send some to John Nancy.

I have a few like that. Stations don't seem to have access to letterhead as
easily and a message on a bumper stick can double as a QSL.One of the first
ones I got like that was KNOR 1400 Norman OK many years ago. I have also gotten
QSL messages on post-its too.

That is true. By that logic it is to the DXers benefit to have the ability to
print up his own ppc. On Facebook, Eric B. showed us a nice example of one he

the trade to try in verifying stations that don't have qsl
Very ho hum conditions overall, though every once in awhile,
something would pop up. Some extreme minimalist working over of the
recordings might yield more for a lot of effort. As Walt observed,
some of the bigger guns stayed in well after 1500UT, so that's one
positive point. Local
