My take on this morning was closer to Gary's (and, a bit) to Walt's
rather than Bruce's. Best in a while, especially if one turned off
the radio after 1430UT; really not much sunrise enhancement today,
though 747 was heard with weak audio at 1555UT (JOIB still on?? when

The one on Ebay is missing the large base (platform) that the loop swivels
and sits on, and the control box has damage to the finish.
The seller told me that "you can make your own base... it's a minor
matter". I beg to differ... :^)

Seem to have been too busy over the holiday season to check the
morning DX (or to check my recordings in a timely manner), but for the
most part TP conditions have been uninsipring.
That word would apply this morning too. The only station with
audio was VOA 1575, and it wasn't all th

I admit that I haven't been paying attention lately, but doesn't anyone like
Kiwa Loops anymore?
Mine still works very well.
The one on eBay just now has no bids?

A very good signal here tonight and a bit better than the previous shows
I've heard on 1720 khz. Still with deep fades but the signal peaks are
a bit stronger. An interesting show tonight..

Heard with Alice in Chains tune at approx 11:00 EST, fairly steady with some
fading. I'm Dr Benway and I'm broadcasting from the middle of nowhere.

It wasn't a very good TP morning here. A handful of the regulars made
half-hearted appearances, and that was it.
Good - Mostly understandable by a native speaker, if only for brief periods
747JOIB, briefly quite good w/the usual weather report 1307.
Otherwise, a poor signal at best

Actually, Pirate Radio Boston relays Undercover Radio. So the QSL says. So
they're one and the same on 1710 and one and the same on 1720. I'm cc'ing this
to a few other lists because I don't think I've seen this pirate reported down
as far south as FL. Glad to see your report, Ron!

Bill, in Masset this morning was exceptionally good to Asia. Right through to
18:30 when things took a nosedive. I had the Perseus running continously.
Highlight was a beautiful EE ID for The Filipino on 774. After the NHK station
signed off. More later. 73, Walt

Les,
The ALA1530 I sent to you is basically the same one as Guy Atkins reviewed with
the Pixel Pro 1-A back in 2010 or 2011.

The gain is slightly higher, especially at LF and offers better performance

Hello All,
Some energetic Asian signals presented themselves around 1400 UTC this morning
(while the coast was still in total darkness), but unfortunately the sunrise
enhancement period didn't really enhance much except for 1575-VOA.

Heh, do not think that it hasn't crossed my mind, Mika, often as I
head off to work in the morning after a lackluster session at the radio.

Andrew,
Your customer service is beyond outstanding, as always. Thank you for
this act of unnecessary kindness.
Also, can you tell me what would be the correct way to describe the
