Here in Victoria, one of the most powerful
stations that we have... CFAX 1070 (10kw)
appears to be suffering from interference
from a single BPL device in a highly
populated neighborhood.

Thanks for the post, Colin. Man, I thought that BPL was strictly an HF
issue, only wiping out shortwave. If it also interferes with MW and TV,
I gotta hope that these things will not proliferate, but will be banned by
the feds (FCC here in the states) in response to local broadcasters'

I have advised the radio station in question --
Telling them that their (up til now) signal has been
solid as a rock - and now impinged upon by
a mini-appliance might kick up some action.
