After TiVOing and listening live for TPs since the last 'window on Asia' back
on Nov. 19th, yesterday saw more than tempting, whispery, ghost-like vertical
traces running down the Perseus screen.

Could some of the list members suggest a decent receiver in the Used market
for AM DX? I have a budget of ~350-400 dollars. I'm using an RP2100 and a
DE1103 with slinky antennas or a tunable loop at this time, and would like to
substantially upgrade, if that is realistic within my budget.
Listened from 1225-1245. Below receptions on the u-shaped fence antenna
which favors the Northeast. With the temperature outside at -8.5 c or 16.7 f
the ewe was left laying on the ground. Very surprised to hear the stations
below, especially China on 1134 using the fence antenna.

The carriers were from the bottom part of the band to the top. The carriers
were: 279, 558, 567, 594, 603, 657, 666, 684, 693, 756, 774, 828, 846, 954,
1008, 1044, 1188, 1197, 1566 and 1575.

(12/11). Repeated calls to the station yield only a busy signal. The FM
(WSEO, 107.7) continues to operate w/its regular True Country format. This
outage could be wind damage-related, but I've not heard

is off.. and no one is minding the shop.

At 12:15pm CST today, noted WGN 720 IBOC off. It was also off
yesterday. So now 710 and 730 are clear but can hear somebody elses
IBOC on 710 (WLW's?).

Normally, yes, 675 would be Holland, but I've been listening there
for the last half hour, and have been getting a mix of 3 stations, with
Holland, Libya, and Norway (just confirmed via the web stream) all
coming in. First time I've heard Norway on MW since the days of 1314.
