Is this or something similar feasible for us to use at LBI? Remember
however, that Grayland is a low RF area.

John and I talked about running an A/B test with his Wellbrook Array against
the 8' PVC Loop, but we were kind of rushed for time, and never got around

Besides Sharina the Psychic on 4BC-1116, there were also strong MP3's
made of Tahiti-738, 4RN-792, 2YA-567, and KPUA-670 (in Hilo Hawaii) using this
8' PVC Loop, some of which I plan to upload to the Ultralightdx Yahoo file

Hi Again Derek,

Thanks once more for your interest in the Grayland MP3's, and also the
traveling 8' PVC loop.

I'll send you a photo of the loop (with its size making its creator look
small), and also MP3's of 4RN-792, Tahiti-738 (mixing with Aussie co-channel
2NR in Grafton) and a local-like ID from KPUA-670 in Hilo, Hawaii.

Grayland would be quite a drive from the bay area, but the places probably
couldn't be more different. The Grayland Motel has many rooms for around
$65 per night, and the owner (Mike) is very friendly to radio fanatics
desiring to place large antennas on the property overnight.

was a site where you had the instructions for it ..
I'm a bit of a dim wit when it comes to putting stuff together
Anywho.. Great job on the recording.. How did the wellbrook do??? I'd
like to do a A/B of the two.. It seems like these ULRs are getting
better ad better.. I'm still surprised how well the T615 does.
What happend to the grundig G3..

Thank you.

 Hi Derek,

You should have the MP3 of 4BC-1116 in Brisbane, Australia (with
  Sharina
the Psychic show at 1212 UTC, recorded at Grayland) by now.
 Sharina's
mumbling speech almost made it necessary for a Psychic to ID the
 station, but
fortunately a male co-host gave the web site address
  (_http://www.sharina.com.au_ (http://www.sharina.com.au) ) to
provide a positive ID, matching the
 data on 4BC's web site.

  Hello All,

Further investigation of an MP3 recorded on 1116 kHz at 1214 UTC
 reveals
that a web site address matches a program running at the time on the
 4BC
station in Brisbane, Australia, not the 3AK station in Melbourne.

Sharina's Psychic Encounters was running from 10-12 PM on Sunday
 night on
4BC in Brisbane, and the announcer (Sharina?) gave a web site
 address,
along with a promotion for the leading spiritualist magazine.
 Apparently
Sharina the Psychic has a habit of speaking in a mumbling manner,
 which makes
her speech border on the unintelligible (especially through a
 Murata narrow
filter), leading to the confusion about the station identity. The
 booming
MP3 saved the day, however, and finally provided positive station
  identification-- no thanks to Sharina.
