[IslamCity] Names of Allah: Al-Ba'ith

2005-04-28 Thread Sadia

AL-BA‘ITH The Resurrector
How can you reject Allah, when you were dead and then He gave you life, then He will make you die and then give you life again , and then you will be returned to Him? (Surat al-Baqara, 2:28)
All people who have or will ever live are mortal. Everyone dies and is buried. Despite this obvious fact, however, most people avoid thinking about death and their subsequent resurrection. The Qur'an describes their situation, as follows:
They will ask: “Are we to be restored to how we were when we have become perished, worm-eaten bones?” (Surat an-Nazi‘at, 79:10-11)
The Qur'an provides the most explicit answer to this popular delusion by proclaiming:
He makes likenesses of Us and forgets his own creation, asking: “Who will give life to bones when they are decayed?” Say: “He Who made them in the first place will bring them back to life. He has total knowledge of each created thing.” (Surah Ya Sin, 36:78-79)
As these verses indicate, Allah created humanity and granted different qualities to everyone. Indeed, down to his or her fingerprints, each person has unique characteristics. As our Creator, He can re-create each person in the very same manner as many times as He wills. Allah displays this coming resurrection each autumn, when nature begins to “die” and then actually experience a type of “death” during winter. Yet when spring comes, we see dry branches blossoming, nature being revived and becoming green all over. Furthermore, this “resurrection” has been happening without any interruption since time began. For Allah, resurrecting each person is as easy as this. The parallel features of these two resurrections are stated in several verses, as follows:
He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living, and brings Earth to life after it was dead. In the same way, you too will be brought forth. (Surat ar-Rum, 30:19)
So look at the effect of Allah's mercy, how He brings the dead Earth back to life. Truly, He is the One Who brings the dead to life. He has power over all things. (Surat ar-Rum, 30:50)
Another meaning of the beautiful name Al-Ba‘ith is “sending out Prophets.” Allah sent Messengers to warn their people and bring good news in order to call them to the right path. He revealed books to some of his Messengers so that they could bring people out of the darkness of ignorance and into the light of true knowledge. No doubt, this is a great blessing of Allah to His servants. In the Qur'an, Allah relates that:
Mankind was a single community. Then Allah sent out Prophets bringing good news and giving warning, and with them He sent down the Book with truth to decide between people regarding their differences. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:213)
Allah showed great kindness to the believers when He sent a Messenger to them from among themselves to recite His Signs to them and to purify and teach them the Book and Wisdom, even though before that they were clearly misguided. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 3:164)

[IslamCity] MALAYSIA: TSUNAMI QUAKES HEATED EARTH WITH GREENHOUSE GAS

2005-04-28 Thread assalamu alaykum
Assalamu aleikum.

Note: the second article below details atmospheric
increases in carbon dioxide from 2002 and 2003 and is
provided here as background: massive events like big
volcano eruptions or vast wildfires can also disrupt
the system.

Please note that 2 articles follow:

Warmer weather due to quakes
The Star
Saturday April 23, 2005
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2005/4/23/nation/1077sec=nation

THE recent earthquakes and aftershocks were among the
factors that led to the recent rise in temperature in
Malaysia, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The daily quoted a source from the Meteorological
Department as saying that the recent earthquakes had
caused more carbon dioxide to be released into the
atmosphere, which caused a warming effect.

“If the temperature continues to increase, it will
bring about the El-Nino effect,” said the source.

Prior to the earthquakes, the department had forecast
rain for this month and May.

According to the source, carbon dioxide could “lock
in” the heat from the sun, which would affect global
temperatures.

However, he said, the temperature was still considered
to be normal.

The average temperature in the country now is between
24°C and 37°C.

CO2 reading taken on Mauna Loa up sharply
By Jan TenBruggencate
Advertiser Science Writer
Honolulu Advertiser
Sunday, April 10, 2005
http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2005/Apr/10/ln/ln27p.html

The Mauna Loa Observatory measured a dramatic spike in
the amount of carbon dioxide entering the global
atmosphere in 2002 and 2003 — the reasons for which
aren't entirely clear although scientists have some
suspects in the form of El Niño events and massive
wildfires.

The rising CO2 level is a key factor in the discussion
of global climate change, because it is what's called
a greenhouse gas — it traps the sun's heat in the
planet's atmosphere. Scientists say that the rate of
increase dropped back to its normal level in 2004, but
normal is still more carbon dioxide every year.

The long-term trend is upward and strongly upward,
said Barry Huebert, a University of Hawai'i professor
of oceanography who specializes in atmospheric
chemistry.

The Mauna Loa Observatory data is the gold standard in
climate research. Since 1958, the site has been
recording atmospheric CO2 levels — longer than any
research facility in the world — and it's considered
one of the best sites for such measurements.

The observatory, at more than 11,000-foot elevation on
Mauna Loa, comprises buildings filled with and
surrounded by complex scientific gear. The
measurements are prized because they are taken from a
site more than 2 miles high in the middle of the
Pacific, distant from most human activity and far from
sources of pollution.

For most of the past few thousand years, ice cores and
other sources indicate the CO2 level was generally
stable at about 280 parts per million, said Pieter
Tans, chief scientist of the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration's Climate Monitoring and
Diagnostics Laboratory in Boulder, Colo.

With the start of the industrial revolution, 150 years
ago or so, the level started rising. By the time Mauna
Loa took its first measurements in 1958, it was up to
315.6 parts per million. The CO2 level has increased
each year since then. Through the 1960s, the rate of
increase was less than 1 ppm per year. During the past
couple of decades, it has averaged 1.5 ppm.

But occasionally, it jumps higher than that. In 1998
there was a spike. And during another spike in 2002
and 2003, the rate was 2.6 and 2.3 ppm, respectively.

Preliminary indications are that the increase for 2004
will be about 1.5, Tans said.

Last month, the overall CO2 level surpassed 380 ppm —
by far the highest it has been in thousands of years.
While it's increasing regularly, the rise isn't always
steady, as indicated by the recent spike.

There are natural fluctuations in climate which
influence the carbon budget, Tans said.

Some of those fluctuations are seasonal changes. Every
spring, when plants start growing aggressively, they
take up carbon dioxide and the atmospheric level drops
for a few months. Every fall, it climbs back up; each
year it has been reaching a new peak.

The world climate system is complicated. Oceans take
up and release carbon dioxide, and so do soils and
plants. A change in the climate — such as during an El
Niño event — can change the rate of transfer. And
massive events like big volcano eruptions or vast
wildfires can also disrupt the system.

There are large enough sources and sinks in things
like big fires and the uptake by the ocean that it
doesn't take much to cause an aberration, Huebert
said.

With respect to the 1998 and 2002-2003 spikes in
carbon dioxide, it's notable that both periods had El
Niño

[IslamCity] MUSLIM COUNTRIES 'NEED UNIFIED APPROACH TO SCIENCE'

Muslim countries 'need unified approach to science'
Aleem Ahmed
SciDev.Net
22 April 2005
http://www.scidev.net/News/index.cfm?fuseaction=readNewsitemid=2061language=1

[ISLAMABAD] Science academies in the Muslim world
should adopt a unified approach to boost scientific
capacity and promote scientific solutions to
development issues, concluded a conference held in
Islamabad, Pakistan, on 19-20 April.

The chairs of the academies gathered at the conference
met to discuss strategies for using science to speed
up socioeconomic development in member countries of
the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

Participants agreed that since OIC member countries
have much in common — such as socioeconomic status and
cultural traditions — they should also use a common
strategy to solve problems related to science and
technology.

Atta-ur-Rahman, chair of the Network of Academies of
Sciences in Islamic Countries and head of Pakistan's
Higher Education Commission, said that Pakistan's
'digital library programme' has greatly helped
scientists by giving them free access to more than
12,000 online research journals.

He said the Higher Education Commission would help
other OIC countries interested in setting up similar
digital libraries.

Rahman also offered OIC members access to PAKSAT-1,
Pakistan's communications satellite that transmits
educational programmes. Bought two years ago from
international telecoms giant Hughes, PAKSAT-1 covers
North Africa, the Middle East and parts of South-East
Asia as well as Pakistan.

Science academies in OIC states in these regions could
use the satellite — at a nominal cost — to enhance
distance learning, said Rahman.

Rahman said that Muslim countries spend just 0.2 per
cent of their gross domestic product on scientific
research and development. Despite this gap, he hoped
that Muslim countries would recognise the pivotal role
of science and technology in their development and in
programmes to eradicate poverty.

Though the conference focused primarily on higher
education and scientific research, it also discussed
plans to launch a popular science magazine and improve
science education for schoolchildren.

Without lower education, there is no higher
education, says Anwar Nasim, chair of Pakistan's
National Commission on Biotechnology (NCB).

Nasim says it is important to popularise science in
OIC countries, emphasising that socioeconomic
prosperity would never be achieved unless these
countries pay proper attention to their children's
scientific education.

Nasim says a passion for science at a young age
creates a more capable scientist, adding that Muslim
countries should focus on understanding science rather
than just memorising it.

The Islamabad conference was organised by the Pakistan
Academy of Sciences, the Network of Academies of
Sciences in Islamic Countries, the OIC Standing
Committee on Science and Technology (COMSTECH),
Pakistan's Higher Education Commission, and the
Academy of Science for the Developing World (TWAS)
based in Trieste, Italy.

Meeting with the scientists from Bangladesh, Egypt,
Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Palestine,
Senegal and Uganda were representatives from TWAS and
Michael Clegg, foreign secretary of the US National
Academy of Sciences.

RE: [IslamCity] WHY do we wear Hijab (Veil)???????

2005-04-28 Thread M. Malhar
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden
things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not
to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both
eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or
dress like veil, gloves, head cover, apron), and to draw their veils all
over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to
reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their
husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers
or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim) women
(i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands
posses, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no
sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal
what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you
all, O believers, that you may be successful. [al-Noor 24:31]

Drawing the veil all over the juyoob implies covering the face.

When Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) was asked about the aayah
(interpretation of the meaning):

O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the
believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies [al-Ahzaab
33:59] -

he covered his face, leaving only one eye showing. This indicates that what
was meant by the aayah was covering the face. This was the interpretation of
Ibn 'Abbaas (May Allaah be pleased with him) of this aayah, as narrated from
him by 'Ubaydah al-Salmaani when he asked him about it.

Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol.6, Hadith No: 282
Narrated by Aishah (Radhiallahu Anha)
May Allah bestow His Mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah
revealed:
And to draw their veils all over Juyubihina (i.e. their bodies, faces,
necks, and bosoms) - they tore their Muruts (a woolen dress, or a
waist-binding cloth or an apron) and covered their heads and faces with
those torn Muruts.

Question:

How sound is that hadeeth in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) is reported to have said, When a woman reaches the ages
of adolescence, nothing should be seen of her except her face and hands?
How should the Muslim woman dress, based on this? What if extreme hijab will
cause problems for a woman in the society in which she lives?.

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

The hadeeth mentioned in the question was narrated by Abu Dawood (4104) from
al-Waleed from Sa'eed ibn Basheer from Qataadah from Khaalid ibn Durayk from
'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her), that Asma' bint Abi Bakr entered
upon the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
wearing a thin dress. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him) turned away from her and said, O Asma', when a woman reaches
the age of puberty, nothing should be seen of her except this and this -
and he pointed to his face and hands.

Abu Dawood said: This is mursal; Khaalid ibn Durayk did not meet 'Aa'ishah
(may Allaah be pleased with her).

This hadeeth is da'eef (weak) and is not fit to be used as evidence. The
reasons why it is da'eef are as follows:

1 - Its isnaad is interrupted, as was stated by Imam Abu Dawood (may Allaah
have mercy on him) when he said, This is mursal; Khaalid ibn Durayk did not
meet 'Aa'ishah.

2 - Its isnaad includes Sa'eed ibn Basheer al-Azdi (or it was said al-Basri)
Abu 'Abd al-Rahmaan. Some scholars of hadeeth regarded him as thiqah
(trustworthy), but Ahmad, Ibn Ma'een, Ibn al-Madeeni, al-Nasaa'i, al-Haakim
and Abu Dawood regarded him as da'eef. (weak).

Muhammad ibn 'Abd-Allaah ibn Numayr said of him: His hadeeth is to be
rejected and he does not amount to anything, and he is not strong in
hadeeth. He narrated munkar reports from Qataadah.

Ibn Hibbaan said of him: He has a bad memory and makes grievous mistakes.

Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said of him: (he is) da'eef.

3 - Its isnaad includes Qataadah who is mudallis (i.e., gives false
impressions concerning the narration of the hadeeth) and did not clearly
state that he heard the hadeeth from another. It also includes al-Waleed ibn
Muslim of whom al-Haafiz said: (he is) trustworthy but he was also mudallis
and did not clearly state that he heard the hadeeth from another.

These are the faults in the hadeeth because of which the hadeeth was judged
to be da'eef (weak). See Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah, Majallat al-Buhooth,
21/68.

Even if we assume that the hadeeth is saheeh or is strengthened by
corroborating reports, the scholars have also noted that this incident
occurred before hijab was enjoined. Ibn Qudaamah said: With regard to the
hadeeth of Asma', it is to be understood as having occurred before the verse
of hijab was revealed.

Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Even if
we assume it is

[IslamCity] The prime minister is a war criminal: The Guardian

2005-04-28 Thread MA PA

The prime minister is a war criminal Like Chamberlain in the 30s, Blair is an appeaser of a dangerous global power. He should be in prison, not standing for election Richard GottTuesday April 26, 2005The Guardian Tony Blair has been the worst prime minister since Neville Chamberlain, a figure with whom he shares a number of significant characteristics. Chamberlain was a supremely confident and arrogant politician, an excellent speaker and a deeply religious man with a hotline to God. He had an unassailable majority in parliament, was popular in the country and presided over a cabinet stuffed with nonentities.
Unfamiliar with the outside world, he conducted his own disastrous foreign policy with the help of backroom advisers as ignorant as himself. By seeking to appease the German government, the principal threat to world peace at the time, he onlysucceeded in encouraging that country's appetite for aggression and expansionism. His egregious errors played a not insignificant role in the outbreak of the second world war, the principal tragedy of the 20th century.

Blair has followed in his footsteps, and is destined for the same place in history's hall of infamy. Like Chamberlain, he is an arrogant and God-fuelled appeaser, the unseemly ally of an unbridled country that presents a global threat similar to Germany in the 1930s.
Instead of seeking a grand alliance to confront this new danger - "a coalition of the unwilling" that would include the Europeans, the Russians and the Chinese - Blair has sided with the evil empire. He has taken up a role as its principal cheerleader, obliging Britain to become a participant in its wars of aggression. Today's Labour party has been a supine collaborator in this policy of appeasement, just like the Tory party in the 1930s. Blair's war party must be defeated at the polls.
The most popular slogan at the moment is "Blair must go". This simple message echoes across the political spectrum from the Conservative party to Respect, and even into the ranks of Labour itself. It clearly has majority support in the country. Blair is a war criminal who should be locked up behind bars without a vote, not standing for election. Yet Labour party supporters who dislike Blair have a bitter pill to swallow. The entire party shares in the war guilt of its leader and his silently complicit government.

[IslamCity] Fwd: Female-Led Prayers, A Step Backwards For Women

2005-04-28 Thread Souladvisor

Female-Led Prayers, A Step Backwards For WomenApr 09, 2005 By Yasmin MogahedWhat we so often forget is that God has honored women by giving them value in relation to God - not in relation to men. But as Western feminism erases God from the scene, there is no standard left but men. As a result, the Western feminist is forced to find her value in relation to a man. And in so doing, she has accepted a faulty assumption. She has accepted that man is the standard, and thus a woman can never be a full human being until she becomes just like a man-the standard. When a man cut his hair short, she wanted to cut her hair short. When a man joined the army, she wanted to join the army, and so on. She wanted these things for no other reason than because the "standard" had it. What she didn't recognize was that God dignifies both men and women in their distinctiveness, not their sameness. And on March 18, Muslim women made the very same mistake. For 1,400
years, there has been a consensus of scholars that men are to lead Prayer. As a Muslim woman, why does this matter? The one who leads Prayer is not spiritually superior in any way. Something is not better just because a man does it. And leading Prayer is not better just because it is leading. Had it been the role of women or had it been more divine, why wouldn't the Prophet have asked Lady `A'ishah or Lady Khadijah, or Lady Fatimah-the greatest women of all time-to lead? These women were promised heaven and yet they never led Prayer. But now, for the first time in 1,400 years, we look at a man leading Prayer and we think, "That's not fair." We think so, although God has given no special privilege to the one who leads. The imam is no higher in the eyes of God than the one who prays behind. On the other hand, only a woman can be a mother. And the Creator has given special privilege to a mother. The Prophet taught us that heaven lies at the feet of mothers. But no matter what a
man does, he can never be a mother. So why is that not unfair? When asked who is most deserving of our kind treatment? The Prophet replied "your mother" three times before saying "your father" only once. Isn't that sexist? No matter what a man does, he will never be able to have the status of a mother. And yet even when God honors us with something uniquely feminine, we are too busy trying to find our worth in reference to men, to value it or even notice it. We too have accepted men as the standard; so anything uniquely feminine is, by definition, inferior. Being sensitive is an insult, becoming a mother is a degradation. In the battle between stoic rationality (considered masculine) and selfless compassion (considered feminine), rationality reigns supreme. As soon as we accept that everything a man has and does is better, all that follows is just a knee jerk reaction: if men have it, we want it too. If men pray in the front rows, we assume this is better, so
we want to pray in the front rows too. If men lead Prayer, we assume the imam is closer to God, so we want to lead Prayer too. Somewhere along the line, we've accepted the notion that having a position of worldly leadership is some indication of one's position with God. A Muslim woman does not need to degrade herself in this way. She has God as a standard. She has God to give her value; she doesn't need a man here. In fact, in our crusade to follow men, we, as women, never even stopped to examine the possibility that what we have is better for us. In some cases, we even gave up what was higher only to be like men. Fifty years ago, we saw men leaving the home to work in factories. We were mothers. And yet, we saw men doing it, so we wanted to do it too. Somehow, we considered it women's liberation to abandon the raising of another human being in order to work on a machine. We accepted that working in a factory was superior to raising the foundation of
society-just because a man did it. Then after working, we were expected to be superhuman-the perfect mother, the perfect wife, the perfect homemaker, and have the perfect career. And while there is nothing wrong, by definition, with a woman having a career, we soon came to realize what we had sacrificed by blindly mimicking men. We watched as our children became strangers, and soon recognized the privilege we'd given up. And so only now-given the choice-women in the West are choosing to stay home to raise their children. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, only 31 percent of mothers with babies, and 18 percent of mothers with two or more children, are working fulltime. And of those working mothers, a survey conducted by Parenting Magazine in 2000, found that 93 percent of them say they would rather be home with their kids, but are compelled to work due to "financial obligations." These "obligations" are imposed on women by the gender sameness of
the modern West and removed from women by the gender distinctiveness of Islam. It took women in the West almost a century

[IslamCity] Moscow Times:Gut check

2005-04-28 Thread Wolfgang Geist

Gut Checkhttp://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article8614.htmBy Chris Floyd04/22/05 "Moscow Times" - - With fresh indictments last week, the UN oil-for-food scandal took an unexpected turn into the Labyrinth -- the tangled skein of war profiteering and state terrorism that has seen the Bush Family's lust for blood money emerge in three of the darkest criminal episodes in modern American history: Iran-Contra, Iraqgate and the BCCI affair.Texas oil baron David Chalmers of Bayoil and his partners were hit with criminal charges for allegedly cutting deals with Saddam Hussein in the notorious skim operation that outflanked UN sanctions and diverted funds intended for humanitarian relief. Prosecutors were shocked -- shocked! --
to find such collusion and corruption in the oil business.Of course, the fact that three U.S. presidents -- the two George Bushes and their new best pal, Bill Clinton -- actually brokered massive backroom oil deals for Saddam that dwarfed Bayoil's petty chiseling, plus the fact that Saddam's nation-strangling thievery has since been eclipsed by the epic rapine of Bush II's Babylonian Conquest, in no way mitigates the seriousness of the Chalmers indictment. But somehow we doubt you'll be seeing those august statesmen sharing leg irons with old Davy anytime soon.Chalmers is a longtime denizen of the Labyrinth. In the mid-1980s, he joined up with Chilean gun-runner Carlos Cardoen, the Financial Times reported. Cardoen was a CIA frontman used by Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bush I to funnel cluster bombs and other weapons secretly to Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War. At Reagan's direct order, Saddam received U.S. military intelligence, billions of dollars in
credits and a steady supply of covert "third-country" arms to sustain his war effort, even though the White House was fully aware of Saddam's "almost daily use" of illegal chemical weapons, The Washington Post reported. Later, Bush I, as president, would also mandate the sale of WMD material to Saddam, including anthrax -- long after Saddam notoriously "gassed his own people" at Halabja. As in the present UN scandal, Saddam paid for his covert cluster bombs with oil. Chalmers would move the actual black stuff and broker its sale for the CIA and Cardoen, taking a cut in the process. Since 1999, Chalmers has been doing the same thing on behalf of Italtech, owned by another crony in the old Cardoen gun-running scheme. The Texas baron must be aghast to find himself in hot water for an activity that was once blessed at the highest levels. Perhaps he neglected to cross the requisite Bushist palms with sufficient silver -- or else, as with many a Bush minion, he's just been tossed
overboard as chum for the sharks when he's no longer of any use.But let's be fair. Helping Saddam kill people with chemical gas was not the only reason why Reagan and Bush I aided their favorite dictator. They had bigger fish to fry -- using the Constitution as kindling for the feast. In 1986, George Bush I visited the Middle East with a secret message to be passed to Saddam via Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak: "Drop more bombs on Iran's cities." How do we know this? From the sworn testimony of Howard Teicher, the National Security Council official who accompanied Bush and wrote the official "talking points" for the trip. Ostensibly, Bush urged this mass killing of civilians as a strategy to halt Iran's gains at the front. But as The New Yorker reported -- 13 years ago -- there was another layer to this covert plot.A fierce aerial offensive by Saddam would force Iran to seek more spare parts for its U.S.-made planes and anti-aircraft weapons, inherited from
the ousted Shah. Bush was already waist-deep in the Iran-Contra scam, which involved selling Tehran U.S. military goods through back channels, then funneling the secret profits to the Contras, the gang of right-wing insurgents and CIA-trained terrorists in Nicaragua. Congress had forbidden U.S. aid to the Contras, so Reagan and Bush used the mullahs (and Central American drug lords) to run their illegal terrorist war. More innocent deaths in Iran meant more backdoor cash for the Contras. A win-win situation! When Bush I became president, he clasped Saddam even closer, sending him billions in U.S.-backed "agricultural credits" through BNL, an Italian bank tied up with BCCI -- the international "financial consortium" that was actually "one of the largest criminal enterprises in history," according to the U.S. Senate. BCCI laundered money and financed arms dealing, terrorism, smuggling and prostitution, while corrupting government officials worldwide with bribes and
extortion. As Bush well knew, Saddam was using the BNL cash for arms, not food; indeed, that was the point of the exercise. When some honest U.S. officials threatened to unravel the BNL gun-running scam, Bush appointed Cardoen's own lawyer to a top Justice Department post -- overseeing the investigation of his former boss. UN investigator who exposed US army abuse forced out of his job
By Nick Meo in Kabul
25 April 2005

The UN's top human rights investigator in Afghanistan has been forced out under American pressure just days after he presented a report criticising the US military for detaining suspects without trial and holding them in secret prisons.
Cherif Bassiouni had needled the US military since his appointment a year ago, repeatedly trying, without success, to interview alleged Taliban and al-Qa'ida prisoners at the two biggest US bases in Afghanistan, Kandahar and Bagram.
Mr Bassiouni's report had highlighted America's policy of detaining prisoners without trial and lambasted coalition officials for barring independent human rights monitors from its bases.
Prisoners captured in Afghanistan and elsewhere in the region are held at US bases, often before being shipped to Guantanamo Bay. Human Rights Watch called on Saturday for a US special prosecutor to investigate the Defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, and Charles Tenet, the former-CIA director, for torture and abuse of detainees in jails around the world, including Abu Ghraib in Iraq. They should be held responsible under the doctrine of "command responsibility," it said.

AlQuran..Surat..AL-MU'MIN ("The Believer")

Those who bear the throne and those round about it, celebrate the praise of theirLord and believe in Him, and they ask forgiveness for the Believers: `our Lord,Thou embracest everything in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repented and followed Thy way, and save them from the punishment of Hell.(7)
And our Lord, admit them to the gardens of eternity that thou hast promised them, and also those of their fathers, their wives and their offspring who acted right;surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise;(8)
and save them from evils; and whomsoever Thou savest from evils on that day,Thou hast had mercy on him; and that is the mighty triumph.'(9)
To the unbelievers it shall be pronounced, `God's abhorrence was greater than your own abhorrence of yourselves, when you were called to belief and you disbelieved'.(10)
They shall say, `Our Lord, Thou hast made us to die twice, and thou hast madeus to live twice; now we confess our sins; is there any way to go forth?' __ (11)
`This is because when God alone was called upon, you disbelieved, but if He wasassociated with others, you believed; now Judgement belongs to God, the High, the great.'(12)

[IslamCity] Fwd: Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu

2005-04-28 Thread Abdul Wahid Osman Belal

From: seeking truth [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Date: Mon, 7 Mar 2005 02:00:27 -0800 (PST)
Subject: Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu

Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu

Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu, as-Siddiq was the first of the Muslims and the
first khalifah of the Muslims. He was the man who the Prophet, Sall-Allahu
alayhi wa sallam, loved most. The Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, once
said ..everyone hesitated before accepting Islam except Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu
anhu. He was a man easily overcome with weeping and he prayed to his Lord with
a voice so soft that the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, questioned him
about this, to which he replied ..He with whom I speak will hear. He was
frail and slight of built and yet his actions exceeded the actions of any man,
except the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam.

Aisha, Radi-Allahu anha, the daughter of Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu, and the
wife of the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, said, While the head of
Allah's messenger was on my lap on a moonlit night, I asked Messenger of
Allah, has anyone done as many good deeds as there are stars in the sky?
Yes, he replied, Umar, Radi-Allahu anhu, has. I then asked how Abu Bakr's
good deeds compared, and he replied, All Umar's good deeds are like one of Abu
Bakr's good deeds.

Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu's love for the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa
sallam, knew no bounds. He accompanied the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa
sallam, on the Hijrah to Madinah. They stopped at a cave called Thawr, and
Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu, said, as narrated by Umar ibn Khattab, I swear by
Allah that you (the Prophet) will not enter the cave before I have done so, for
if there is anything in it, I shall be attacked by it, and not you. Then he
entered the cave and swept it and found some holes in the side of it. He tore
up a piece of his garment and plugged the holes with it. As there were still
two remaining holes left, he thrust his feet into them and told the Messenger
of Allah to enter the cave. When he had done so the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi
wa sallam, laid his head on Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu's lap and went to sleep.
One of Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu's foot was stung by a creature in the hole,
but he did not move for fear that the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi
wa sallam, might awake. The effect of the poison returned later on, and was
said to be the cause of his death.

According to Umar, Radi-Allahu anhu, the day when the Prophet, Sall-Allahu
alayhi wa sallam, died and the Arabs turned back from Islam and refused to pay
zakat, he said, If they were to refuse me the nose-rope of a camel, I would
fight them over it. Umar, Radi-Allahu anhu, remarked, Successor of the
Messenger of Allah, be affable and gentle to the people, to which Abu Bakr,
Radi-Allahu anhu, replied, Have you, who were a powerful man before Islam,
become weak in Islam? The revelation has ceased and the transaction has been
made perfect. Is it to diminish while I am alive?.

Two years after becoming the first khalifah, Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu, was
seized with fever. After completing his affairs in this world he died at the
age of 63 with nothing but two pieces of cloth, in which he was buried. As his
end was near, he was heard to say ..O Allah, make me to die a man of trust.
Please take me to join the blessed, exalted ones.

Sayings of Abu Bakr, Radi-Allahu anhu

Always fear Allah; He knows what is in men's hearts.

Be kind to those who are under you and treat them well.

Give brief directions; directions that are too long are likely to be forgotten.

Improve your own conduct before asking others to improve theirs.

Honor the enemy's envoy.

Maintain the secrecy of your plans.

Always speak the truth, so that you get the right advice.

Consult your men when you are free to do so; this will develop participation.

Take suitable measures to keep watch on the army.

Be sincere to all with whom you deal.

Give up cowardice and dishonesty.

Give up bad company.

What can I say to you? I say to you: our wombs have been filled with the children of fornication by those sons of apes and pigs who raped us. Or I could tell you that they have defaced our bodies, spit in our faces, and tore up the little copies of the Qur'an that hung around our necks? God is greatest! Can you not comprehend our situation? Is it true that you do not
know what is happening to us? We are your sisters. God will becalling you to account [about this] tomorrow.By God, we have not passed one night since we have been in prison without one of the apes and pigs jumping down upon us to rip our bodies apart with his overweening lust. And we are the ones who had guarded our virginity out of fear of God. Fear God! Kill us along with them! Destroy us along with them! Don't leave us here to let them get pleasure from raping us!It will be an act to ennoble the Throne of Almighty God. Fear God regarding us! Leave their tanks and aircraft outside. Come at us here in the prison of Abu Ghraib.I am your sister in God (Fatimah). They raped me on one day more than nine times. Can you comprehend? Imagine one of your sisters being raped. Why can't you all imagine it, as I am your sister. With me are 13 girls, all unmarried. All have been raped before the eyes and ears of everyone. They won't let us pray. They took our
clothes and won't let us get dressed. As I write this letter one of the girls has committed suicide. She was savagely raped. A soldier hit her on her chest and thigh after raping her. He subjected her to unbelievable torture. She beat her head against the wall of the cell until she died, for she couldn't take any more, even though suicide is forbidden in Islam. But I excuse that girl. I have hope that God will forgive her, because He is the Most Merciful of all.Brothers, I tell you again, fear God! Kill us with them so that we might be at peace. Help! Help! Help![WaMu`tasimah!].This letter is ended, but the sufferings of the one who wrote it and the sufferings of her sisters along with her have not ended!!Alhamdulilah, Fatimah's suffering has indeed now ended. [IslamCity] Why Can't I Take Aqida And Tasawwuf From The Four Imams?

2005-04-28 Thread Muhammed

Why Can't I Take Aqida And Tasawwuf From The Four Imams?
Answered by Shaykh Gibril Haddad
Question:

In a previous answer it says: "The way of Sunni Islam is to take the branch of Islam from living jurists who follow one of the four Sunni schools of fiqh: the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali schools; the branch of Iman from living scholars belonging to one of the two Sunni schools of 'aqida: the Ash'ari and Maturidi schools; and the branch of Ihsan from living masters of one of the many Sufi orders that have emerged over the centuries, such as the Qadiri, Naqshbandi, Shadhili, Chishti, and Rifa'i tariqas."

Why should I take the branch of Islam only from the four Madhhabs of Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali? Why should not I take the branches "Iman" and "Ihsan" from them? Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Malik and Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (May Allah's Mercy Be on Them All) were the Four Great Scholars of their time, were they weak in the scholarships of the branches of Iman and Ihsan or were they not reliable? Did they ever teach about Iman and Ihsan to their students or did they just keep quite throughout their lives about these two very important categories of our Faith?

Answer:
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

Most or all of the great authorities named above touched on all three types of knowledge; however, the classification you are quoting refers to specialization. The specialty of the Four Imams is Fiqh and this is what they are known for the most, although they are accomplished in Iman and Ihsan as well; the specialty of Ash'ari and Maturidi was doctrine and most or rather all the extant narrations we have from them relate to that science although they show complete mastery of the branches of fiqh in their respective Madhhabs and familiarity with the ethics of ihsan; and the specialty of the Imams of tasawwuf was the purification of the soul and ihsan, even if many of them were also bright luminaries in fiqh and doctrine. It also stands to reason to follow certain well-tended and proven paths that countless Believers have taken before us successfully rather than question them
without good reason, even if, in reality, “the paths to Allah are as numerous as the breaths of creatures.”

(Musnad Ahmad 14869)
Istiqamah is an important concept of Islam. It has several meanings. It means to be straight, to follow the straight path, to remain firm on one’s principles and not to give up under difficulties or challenges. Some scholars say that it also means to be sincere and do good things in public as well in private life. Some others say that it means to be straight in words as well in deeds. (see Nadrat al-Na’im, vol. 2, p. 304) Living Islam anywhere at anytime requires istiqamah. Those who live with istiqamah Allah has promised them great reward and blessings in this world and in the hereafter.
Different Challenges in different times and places: Living Islam in different parts of the world has different challenges. Living Islam in Pakistan, in Egypt, in Saudi Arabia or in any Muslim country has some challenges. Living Islam in
India, in Africa, in China, in Bosnia and Albania has some challenges. In a similar way living Islam in
America has special challenges. Living Islam in the 7th century in Arabia had some challenges. It had different challenges in 12th century and now it has some other challenges. When Muslims understand the challenges and meet them with wisdom and courage they become successful and bring blessings upon themselves and others.
Istiqamah in Faith: First we must emphasize deep and sincere faith in Allah. Let us build that relationship with our Creator with more worship and more devotion. Have full trust in Allah. Allah has power over all things. He controls all affairs and if we remain with Allah, Allah will be with us and help us and support us. We must entertain no doubt about Allah, His Prophet, His Book and His religion. Allah is the Truth and Islam is the right way. No matter what is the propaganda and no matter who misrepresents Islam, non-Muslims or Muslims, we must keep be sure that we are on the right path and nothing should shake our confidence in Allah and the religion that He gave us. We should practice our religion fully, in all details and as much as possible.
Istiqamah in the Family and Community: We should be closer to our families. Forget your petty differences and quarrels. Be more loving and caring to your spouses. Pay special attend to your children. Let them not feel neglected and frightened. It is pretty scary to sit in front of the TV and watch all those talk shows and hear the angry words against Islam and Muslims. We have to pay special attention to our children so they do not become alienated, frightened, split personalities or angry.
We should also become more caring and more united within our community. We need each other all the time, but at the time of crisis we need each other more. There are many people who may lose jobs, go through hardships. There might be discriminations and harassments. We must take care of each other without supporting or harboring any wrongdoers. In the climate of suspicion, people become very frightened and uncaring. We should discuss how we can help each other in the right way without breaking any laws of the land.Local authorities are also willing to meet and talk to us. They are willing to discuss any fears and concerns. After this horrendous crime on September 11 there were some shocking incidents of hate crimes, but we must acknowledge with thanks that there were more people who showed compassion and empathy. A great effort was made by many neighbors
and civic authorities to affirm and display kindness, tolerance and generosity. We must reciprocate this and do even more to

[IslamCity] Elton John Planning Civil Marriage with Long Term Male Partner in Civilized West

Elton John Planning Civil Marriage with Long-Term Partner

(Comments in RED are Mine)
LONDON (Reuters) - British pop star Elton John intends to marry his long term partner David Furnish some time this year or in 2006, his publicist said Monday.

The singer told the Mirror tabloid that he and Furnish wanted to hold a civil partnership ceremony in Windsor, near London, in mid-December, although publicist Gary Farrow said John had added it could take place some time next year. "He (John) said that it may be by Christmas and it may be next year," Farrow told Reuters.

He added that one of John's main motivations for going ahead with the ceremony was financial. Civil partnerships between gay couples will be allowed in Britain starting Dec. 5 and give partners tax breaks available to married couples.

John, 58, and Furnish, 42, have been partners for more than 11 years. A Web site recently speculated the couple was splitting up, prompting Furnish to say that they had "never been happier."

John told the Mirror that Furnish should not expect many of the trappings of a regular marriage. "There will be no honeymoon. I'm on tour," he said. John has sold tens of millions of records worldwide and is best known for classic tracks including "Candle in the Wind" and "Rocket Man."

He has signed an agreement to perform 75 shows over three years in Las Vegas and also is touring the United States, Europe and Canada over the coming months. John, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, previously married German music engineer Renate Blauel in 1984.
She and John divorced four years later.

It seems that many of the western countries are turning into modern day Sodom Gomorrah. These are the kind of lifestyle that they want to impose on the Muslim world in the name of democracy freedom.

It seems amazing that the Christian Missionary Organizations are oblivious to this moral decay in these countries. These organizations are busy going around to countries in Asia, Africa etc pushing Christianity down the throat of these people. Sometimes using deceptive methods. Or is it that they have given up hope resigned to the fate that their countrymen are doomed to this kind of lifestyle until end of time.

[IslamCity] Max Hastings - Their best defence - The Guardian

2005-04-28 Thread Abdul Wahid Osman Belal

Their best defence Max Hastings Tuesday March 29, 2005 The Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1447011,00.html
Israel has no choice but to withdraw from the West Bank - not to indulge the Palestinians but to save itself
When someone says that today the chances for Middle East peace have improved, it is worth asking two questions: can there be a sustainable truce, as long as Israel maintains a significant presence in the West Bank? And do the Israelis seem remotely interested in giving this up? If your answer to both is negative, then you share my view that we should not be deceived into optimism by a pitstop in mutual vilification between Ariel Sharon and the Palestinian Authority.
The key challenge now, as ever, is to convince Israelis that their own security interests are best served by evacuating the Occupied Territories. And this does not mean getting out of Gaza merely in order to strengthen Israel's grip on the West Bank, as Ariel Sharon is busy doing, surviving a challenge from rebels yesterday to hold a referendum on the issue.
These issues are addressed in a new book by Martin van Crefeld, who was born in Holland but has lived in Israel for much of his life, and is an internationally respected military historian and strategic guru, even if also a prophet somewhat disdained in his own country. His book, published in the US (but for which he could find no Israeli, or British, publisher), makes a powerful argument for Israel's withdrawal, not to indulge the Palestinians, but to save itself.
Van Crefeld is no soft touch. He believes unilateral action is essential, because the Palestinians will never become viable partners in a bilateral deal. He accepts that some terrorism will continue anyway, and thus proposes that Israel should shield itself with a security wall established on its pre-1967 frontiers.
He acknowledges that most Arab states will remain irreconcilably hostile, which means that Israel must maintain stringent security measures to protect its people from harm. But he believes these must be based upon internationally recognised borders, because to sustain Israel's explicitly expansionist policy of the past 25 years has become intolerable militarily, financially and diplomatically. No amount of neo-conservative encouragement from Washington, such as the Bush administration offered last week for Israel's West Bank settlements, can change this.
Van Crefeld says that hawks who argue that Israel's security demands a buffer zone beyond its borders are living in the past. In the new age of military technology, Israel's superiority over the Arabs will increase. Iraq is out of the reckoning as a foe. Syria, Egypt and Jordan can't look to US or Russian patronage to build new conventional arsenals - and the conventional threat to Israel is now almost non-existent.
Weapons of mass destruction are another matter. The only credible defence against an Arab state armed in such a way will always be deterrence, perhaps eventually supported by an anti-missile system. He is optimistic that, for all the Arabs' extravagant rhetoric, self-interest will dissuade them from launching a nuclear strike against Israel when they can be sure of an annihilating response.
The key to defusing Jewish settler militancy, Van Crefeld argues, is a guarantee of alternative housing. Most of the 200,000 people who have gone to live beyond Israel's borders have done so not as eager colonists, but because the West Bank offers affordable homes. If they are promised accommodation in Israel as part of a deal, the government will have to deal only with a small minority of madmen, who are convinced that Israel has a divine claim on biblical Israel.
He suggests that, after withdrawal, Israel should scrap most of its conventional forces and adopt much more effective, and less manpower-intensive, technology-based defences: balloon- and drone-mounted surveillance devices; beyond-smart, so-called "brilliant" missiles; and unmanned aircraft.
At the hub of the author's argument is a stark question: what is Israel's choice? If it rejects withdrawal, if it seeks to sustain its strategic roads and colonial settlements in the West Bank, then it faces an eternity of debilitating and unwinnable counter-insurgency, "which opens the door for vandals, thieves, extortionists, sadists and perverts of every kind [in the Israeli army] to realise their fantasies at the expense of the hapless population".
From October 2000 to June 2003 alone, 360 Israel soldiers were put under investigation, an average of two a week, including 153 cases of suspected homicide. Those figures ignore countless cases that went unreported.
Withdrawal will eliminate "by far the most important source of friction between [Israelis and Palestinians], namely the occupation itself". A comprehensive wall protecting the new frontiers will cost at least £500m, possibly more than double that. But the occupation has already cost at least £10bn, so a

[IslamCity] Sharon is war criminal says Livingstone-Hugh Muir-The Guardian

2005-04-28 Thread Abdul Wahid Osman Belal

Sharon is war criminal says Livingstone Hugh Muir Friday March 4, 2005 The Guardian http://politics.guardian.co.uk/gla/story/0,9061,1430317,00.html
Ken Livingstone has reignited his dispute with Britain's Jewish leaders by launching a provocative attack on the "war criminal" Ariel Sharon.
In a riposte to criticism from the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the London mayor accused Israel of "ethnic cleansing" and said its prime minister should be imprisoned. He also accused Israel of demonising Muslims.
Writing in the Guardian, he again rejected accusations of anti-semitism arising from his confrontation two weeks ago with the Jewish newspaper reporter he likened to a German concentration camp guard.
But while stressing his steadfast opposition to racism and his regard for the Jewish people, he accused Israel of spreading misinformation about the scale of anti-semitism in Europe, and seeking to silence critics by calling them anti-semitic.
Mr Livingstone said: "Israel's expansion includes ethnic cleansing. Palestinians who had lived in that land for centuries were driven out by systematic violence and terror aimed at ethnically cleansing what became a large part of the Israeli state."
He added: "Today the Israeli government continues seizures of Palestinian land for settlements, military incursions into surrounding countries and denial of the right of Palestinians expelled by terror to return.
"Ariel Sharon, Israel's prime minister, is a war criminal who should be in prison not in office. Israel's own Kahan commission found that Sharon shared responsibility for the Sabra and Shatila [Palestinian refugee camps in Beirut] massacre."
Mr Livingstone said the Israeli government presented a "wholly distorted picture of racism and religious discrimination in Europe", so it appeared Jews suffered most discrimination.
"The reality is that the great bulk of racist attacks in Europe today are on black people, Asians and Muslims. They are the primary targets of the extreme right."
Relations between the mayor and key sections of the Jewish community are tense because of his clash with the Evening Standard reporter Oliver Finegold and his subsequent refusal to apologise, and his invitation to the Muslim cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi to speak at a conference in London last year.
One of Mr Livingstone's most high-profile critics following the clash with Mr Finegold was Zvi Heifetz, the Israeli ambassador to London.
He said last night: "The mayor is confused once again. Ethnic cleansing was perpetrated in the concentration camps which he should know being such an expert on them.
"The dozens of world leaders who attended the London meeting only two days ago [all commend Mr] Sharon, for his courageous steps to achieve peace in the Middle East.
Commenting on the row with an article in Wednesday's Guardian, Henry Grunwald of the Board of Deputies said Mr Livingstone must reverse his stance and make amends, adding: "He has let us down. He has let his office down. Oliver Finegold deserves an apology, Holocaust survivors deserve an apology, the Jewish community deserves an apology and most of all, London deserves an apology. Then we can all move on."
The Board of Deputies has triggered an investigation into Mr Livingstone's conduct by the local government watchdog, the Standards Board for England.
A spokesman for the Board of Deputies last night accused Mr Livingstone of seeking to deflect attention away from his own behaviour by attacking Israel.
===
This is about Israel, not anti-semitism Ken Livingstone Friday March 4, 2005 The Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1430132,00.html
Not to speak out against this injustice would not only be wrong. It would ignore the threat it poses to us all
Racism is a uniquely reactionary ideology, used to justify the greatest crimes in history - the slave trade, the extermination of all original inhabitants of the Caribbean, the elimination of every native inhabitant of Tasmania, apartheid. The Holocaust was the ultimate, "industrialised" _expression_ of racist barbarity.
Racism serves as the cutting edge of the most reactionary movements. An ideology that starts by declaring one human being inferior to another is the slope whose end is at Auschwitz. That is why I detest racism.
No serious commentator has argued that my comments to an Evening Standard reporter outside City Hall last month were anti-semitic. So I am glad that Henry Grunwald, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, accepted on these pages that "Ken is sincere when he states that he regards the Holocaust as the worst crime of the last century".
The contribution of Jewish people to human civilisation and culture is unexcelled and extraordinary. You only have to think of giants such as Einstein, Freud and Marx to realise that human civilisation would be unrecognisably diminished without the achievements of the Jewish people. The same goes for the Jewish contribution to London today.

[IslamCity] MUHAMMAD - THE HOLDER OF THE SEAL

2005-04-28 Thread Hanisha

In the name of Allah the Gracious the Merciful

MUHAMMAD
– THE HOLDER OF THE SEAL
by
Hazrat
Amir-ul-Mou'minìn, Muhyi-id-Din
Munir
Ahmad Azim

God
appointed the Holy Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h)* the Holder of the
Seal. This degree of excellence was barred to all other Prophets since the
beginning of time. One, who meticulously follows his footsteps, can be awarded
the attributes of Prophethood. But the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) is
gifted with much more than this. A spiritual and intimate linkage with him can
elevate an “ummati” (a follower) to
the exalted status of a prophet. The perfect man, to whom the Holy Qur’an was
revealed, was not limited in his vision nor was there any deficiency in his
sympathy in the sharing of sorrows. Both from the point of view of time and
space, his soul was charged with perfect sympathy for human beings. He was,
therefore, bestowed a full share of the manifestation of nature and he was made
‘Khatamal Anbia’ (seal of prophets),
meaning not that no one would henceforth receive any spiritual grace from him,
but that he possessed the seal of prophethood and that without the attestation
of that Seal; No grace could reach anyone and that for his people, the door of
converse with the Divine would never be closed. Beside him, there was no prophet
who possessed the Seal. It is only through this seal that a prophethood can now
be bestowed for which it is a condition that the recipient must be a follower of
the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h).

His
(the Holy Prophet’s ) high courage and sympathy did not wish to leave his people
in a condition of inferior status and bar to them the door of revelation, which
is the root of all Spiritual and temporal understanding. Yet in order to
preserve the sign of the closing of all (previous) prophethood, the grace of
revelation was reserved as a rank for his followers only. It was in this sense
that the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had been appointed as ‘Khatamal-Anbia’.

God
does not create another God like Himself because His Attribute of Unity and of
being peerless, is eternal and it prevents Him from doing so. But He does create
a sample of His peerless Being by investing in one of His creation a reflection
of His Attributes. This process started with the beginning of the world and
would continue till the ultimate cloud of dust, the final frozen wasteland
emerges and puts an end to all that is animate in the universe. The lineage of
prophethood can, therefore, never lapse nor can its true profile ever change.
This has been the divine intent so far and this is His purpose for which mankind
was created. The institution of prophethood is eternal and its denial is
delusive sophistry.

The
Muslim nations of the world with all their oil wealth, manpower and immense
resources, stood like beggars at the door of the others lords for seeking crumbs
of favour from here and there.

“O, our Muslim brothers; Spare a glance of
sympathy. For the sake of Muhammad (p.b.u.h), the chosen one, the
best of the creation, if nothing else.”

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all.
[Muslim, Ahmad, Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah]
