I am still suffering from spontaneous reboots, with nothing being

If this is something you could try, I'd be interested to hear your

I also had a problem with NFS and Myth. I changed NFS to use TCP
instead of UDP.

I'm not 100% certain this is caused by ivtv, but this list wins the

Try changing the DYNAMIC buffer define in ivtv-driver.h to 0, just

Howdy.
I'm having a problem, and am still trying to narrow it down, but I
thought I'd post the symptoms in case this is a know problem.
I'm using a PVR-500 with an AMD64 in 32 bit mode, kernel 2.6.11.7, and
MythTV. The PVR-500 is in a master backend, and I am using a separate
frontend to watch
I recently bought two. One was from BLT, whose web site says they no

took 2 weeks, but was ordered later, both shipped the same day).

Sorry if this gets posted twice. I sent it this morning and haven't seen
it since...
The only thing new since the previous post is I was able to confirm I can
get an image from the composite input using "-p 2", and I tried the
following grid of configurations, all with no success:
tuner=57 NTSC n

I pulled my sound card and a firewire card I wasn't using, and moved the
500MCE over a slot, and bingo, it now works. No software config changes
required.
