Did the trick, thanks! Weird. Could have sworn I set
the osd to unscaled before, but the setting wasn't
even in the config file anymore.

Thank you. Very nice. NTSC playback looks great.
Anti-aliased fonts, overall pretty responsive system.
TV playback uses 13-15% CPU. (P4 2.4GHz, MythTV
0.18.1, kernel 2.6.8) Rewinding and fast forwarding
appear more responsive and don't exhibit some of the
fubars that you get when doing it wit
This is working correctly.

mplayer -fs -vo xv
is giving me a scaled-up picture, even if I explicitly turn off zoom:
mplayer -fs -nozoom -vo xv
mplayer -vo xv
gives me a nice, but non-scaled image at the top left of the screen.
Strange, because -fs was working fine after I first installed the
patch and rebooted.

Hi John,
looks like I spoke a little too soon. Things worked great the first time around:
-apply patch, make & install
-reboot
-try to view videos (couldn't see videos/movie)
-view recorded tv, exit
-mplayer -fs -framedrop -vo xv %s
720x480 mpeg4: excellent
480x272 mpeg2: excellent
-xine -f %s
Great. Thanks for the feedback.

Dude, you rock.
This finally fixed my NTSC playback.
Let me know if you need any details.
