1. press insert + H, from anywhere to place the keystrokes in the virtual
viewer.
2. from the Jaws application, look in the help menu.

I tried the Insert + 3 on the numpad and nothing happened. The only way that I

Rather than pressing ENTER on the link, try hitting either the
Application key, or SHIFT-F10 and arrow down to Save Target and hit
ENTER, and see if you get the familiar Save dialog.
