Hi Bill,
My apologies for my error.
I was under the impression that Dan ran Jaws on a Linux platform.
He speaks of it so often on the other lists I'm on with him.
Thank you for setting me straight.

Hi Ric,
Challenge is that he can never get the programme to say anything to him, so
he never knows if its set to load on start up or not.
I'm wondering if its set to no speech or something. Is that possible to do
on installation?
I've never had that challenge.

Hi Kerry,
It's possible, but I would bet there is a video intercept error.
Try this:
Bring up Narrator with windows key +U.
Once Narrator has loaded, and starts talking, he should be able to alt tab,

Victor, no need to apologize; the idea of running JAWS on a Linux/Unix
system is certainly something many of us would like to see. There are some
software similar to JAWS that does run on Linux systems, but I'm not
familiar with any of them.

It may work assuming the virtual machine is very faithful to Windows but it
won't give you access to the LINUX environment. It may be possible in some

Hi Rachel,
If you need the help before I ever get the chance to post the instructions
or do an audio tutorial I could always contact you privately and walk you
through the process. It's not too much of a change but a person wouldn't
get it just by stumbling on it either.

Hi, everyone. I might be moving pretty soon so I'll need to leave this list
