Hi:
I would like to know if anybody has had any experience with Media Player
11 in conjunction with JFW? I keep getting prompted to upgrade, but I
know of one person who has had trouble with 11, and my husband who is
sighted says it's set up a bit different than 10. I'm running JFW 7.10
you as to the proper course of action.

-~--~~~~--~~--~--~---Hi:
What version of JFW are you using? If you have upgraded to IE 7.5, and
have JAWS 7, you will need to go to the Freedom Scientific site and
download an upgrade, I believe it's 7.10, but I'm not positive. There
is information on the page
I forgot to mention that the upgrade isn't a full upgrade, so there's
no charge.

What programs you used when you noticed this problem? Did you try say

Hi:
Have I missed something? This program seems to be designed for web
designers, not browsers. It seems to do a great job, I checked out the
demo. I hate it when JAWS says button button button and can't find
the labels, or the labels seem to be just numbers.

Hi:
Quite often when a page loads, JAWS likes to read the page while it's
loading until it hits the bottom, or until you hit the control key to
stop it. This can be an anoyance, especially if you are quickly trying
to fill in edit boxes as I do at work. Hope this helps.j

Hi:
When this error occurs, are you purposefully getting off of the net, or
is this message coming up and IE closes down without your permission?
Is this happening on the same sites? Usually when this happens to me,
it's because a file or link has caused IE to crash; quite often it's a
Hi Marilyn:

Hi:
We're using the AVG antispyware program, and it's found things that

Personally, I use no ad ware which you have to purchase but it is easy
as pie and seems to catch stuff.
It's a minor anoyance, but does anybody know why JAWS suddenly stopped
anouncing the fact that I was cutting or copying? Those editing
functions still seem to work, but they're not anounced. I looked in
edit on the menu bar, and it says that almost all of those functions are
unavailable.
It has been my experience that you can go into the folderws list and hit
the first letter of the folder you want, for instance, if you had a
folder called pets, you should be able to simply hit p and go to all of
the folders that start with that letter until you get to pet, saving you

Hi:
I just replied to the wrong message, but I suppose the answer's about
the same. If you get into the list of folders you can press the first
letter of the name of the folder you would like. Your computer should
automatically jump to all of the folders starting with that letter. If

The reason I ask, is that some of those items are context sensitive.
Also, is this something that just started?

Hi:
I had a similar problem, and had to use the blank screen saver.
Sometimes JAWS would do other strange things, and it was all resolved by
using the blank screen saver. Hope this helps. Lisa wrote:

Scrap that last message, I didn't know what I was talking about. Sorry
about that. It does say the wrong version of IE though. Weird.

When I used Outlook, that was the norm. It appeared to me as if this
happened if somebody sent a message using a program other than Outlook

Hi:
Every time I've accidentally installed the thing, it slows my computer
to a crawl. My sighted husband hates it with a passion, and he's pretty
good with computers. I'm no expert by any means, but I'd get rid of it.
