Ssorry to post again, but I think I just found the problem. I hope and pray that the situation doesn't change right after I post this. It appears that the problem originated because I had a Word window up, though I wasn't using it. I think that might be causing some other problems I have been having with the email program, Thunderbird. There seems to be a conflict with those two programs. I guess I can't use one while the other is up. Like I said, I tend to overlook the answers. The edit options are still supposedly unavailable though. I've got talking options again, and they work fine. Thanks for everybody's ideas.
