Cathy, is your screen maximized? Try hitting alt spacebar then x and see if
that makes a difference.

here's what I'm experiencing:
After reading a message and deleting it, JAWS is reading the subject and the
recipient as if the message is still there
is this happening to anyone else and if so, is there a fix for it?
i'm using JAWS 8.0.2107 with XP Home.
Arianna Calesso
Well, Bill, I'm sure you do the same thing I do--read your current line to
see where the cursor really is? Isn't this a pain? I didn't have this
situation till I installed this upgrade. Ho hum!

Well
Where do i go to do a repair on JAWS? I couldn't find it in utilities nor
in tools. I couldn't do it under add/remove programs either. My mind must
have gone blank not to be able to find this.

David, I believe I read on this list that if one uninstalls IE7, IE6 would
automatically replace it. Is that really true or do I have to install iE6
from a download?

I sent the following question to the list but received no answer.
What kind of file is this jsdtusb.jls and where should it be in order for it
to load with JAWS?
Can someone help me with this?
Arianna Calesso
I have DecTalk USB as my default synth. It's been working just fine
I have DecTalk USB as my default synth. It's been working just fine, but
this afternoon I have a message that says, Cannot load jsdtusb.jls.
How do I get this to load so that DecTalk USB will be the startup default
synth?
Arianna Calesso
Yep, that command did the trick. Your brain was still working.

Is there any way to get rid of that darned toolbar or whatever you call it
at the top of the page in IE7? It's where they have live search and
favorites, etc.
I can't say I'm crazy about IE7.

No, I'll have to look into those bulletins and see if there's anything about
this. It seems strange that no one has had to deal with this situation.

I can use it, too, Matt. The problem is that I don't know how to get it to
automatically load when JAWS comes up. I think some kind of load command
needs to be put into a .ini file or something like that, but I can't seem to
get an answer from anyone on the list about this.
Arianna Calesso
Yes, Denny, Dec Access32 is in the jfw.ini file including the long name and
the driver.

that
it will happen automatically when I start JAWS. I hope this is clear enough
for someone to give me an answer. Do I need to put something in the .ini
file or how do I get Dec Access32 to come up as the JAWS synth?

I'm sorry if this answer was posted earlier, but where does one get the
scripts for RegScrub? I'm having trouble making it function properly, so
hopefully, if there are scripts, that would be a big help.

David, I think the SAPI voices are very user friendly. I'm using Karen
right now and I also like Daniel. I just happen to like these British
voices. They are nice and clear and crisp.
I hope others out there will try them.
