[JAWS-Users] Re: Dragon Naturally

2007-02-26 Thread Annette Carr
There used to be a program on the market called JSay that served as a bridge
between JAWS and Dragon. But after doing a search for it just now, I'm not
finding anything more current then info on JSay Pro version 4 working with
Jaws for Windows version 7.1 and Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional
version 9.x.

If I find anything else out I'll let you know.

HTH,
Annette

[JAWS-Users] Re: Dragon Naturally

2007-02-26 Thread Bill Gallik

I haven't done any actual experiments with this configuration, but it is my
understanding that the real problem attempting to run JAWS or WindowEyes
with Dragon is the resource battle on the sound card that acts as both input
and output devices. And, of course, there's the problem of Dragon hearing
JAWS or WindowEyes yammering in the background while the user attempts to
talk Dragon into doing what's desired.

I'm wondering if, by installing a secondary audio device, JAWS was
instructed to utilize the secondary audio device and the user employed
earphones that possibly Dragon and JAWS would play nice on the same
PC?!?!? Just a thought!

The second sound card is an interesting concept. We have use a
headset-microphone to get around the JAWS dragon interference.
