Hi, all,
I am thinking seriously of selling my computer and buying another one. I
currently have Office 2003 and am wondering what people's experiences have
been with JAWS and Office 2007 since, if I get a new computer, it will most
likely come with it. Specifically, I am interested in how
I have Office 2007, on my new computer and I have no problems using Outlook.
However, Word 2007 does take some getting used to, but I am up to the

Hi all, does anyone know whether the latest Firefox works with JAWS 9? I
know it works as I used Firefox with JAWS 8, but I had problems using
it due to bugs in the virtual buffer for Firefox, so I'm wondering if
those bugs has been fixed. Thanks in advance.

There's a learning curve with Office 2007, but Microsoft is conscious of
accessibility issues.
Give yourself some time to explore and learn the system.
Many keyboard commands from previous Office versions work in 2007 as
well, but there are a few to learn. I recommend you spend some time with
it,
Hi Chris,

I know that most of the brand new braille display

some of them also use blue tooth.
my question is:
what is the best braille display is better for Jaws?
Just my views on FireFox and Jaws 8.
Although FireFox performs faster than IE I have had to regretfully move
back to IE. This is because I found FireFox did not work well with the
Insert F5 form field listing with Jaws 8.
On some sites the navigation to form fields is unpredictable. My bank
Hello all. I've attained the use of a braille display for a couple weeks

Well, I have office 2003 on my desktop and 2007 on my laptop. I haven't
mastered the ribbon system yet in the 2007 office but I think with some
practice one could find their way around. On the other hand I am still
looking for a tutorial on the 2007 office.
God bless,

Personally I uninstalled Office 2007 on my new computer as I hated it.
I reinstalled my old Office 2003 and am now perfectly happy as it works more

be honest there are loads of other things I want to learn at the moment.
Hi all, thank you very much for your opinions on Firefox and JAWS 8/9.
I'm finding that Firefox does indeed work very well with JAWS 9; in
fact, it works much better than it did with JAWS 8. I don't know if
that's because Firefox has improved accessibility or the JAWS developers

How can I delete the Eudora scripts? I am using Eudora 8 and I am having

I checked the script manager in jaws but was not sure what should be
deleted.

Hi, not tried this, but perhaps updating to either a later build of JAWS

tried the forms list with Firefox and JAWS 9, but so far I'm impressed
with the support, particularly the ability to handle web pages with the

Just out of interest I downloaded and installed Jaws 9 to see if
that solved the problem with FireFox refusing to let Jaws run the Insert F5
command more than once on a web page.
This remains a problem as shortcut keys like F or pressing tab will not go
to form fields in proper sequence
I used SnapFish one time. When the person who posted the photos provided
appropriate names for each, I was able to download the pictures. It has
been over a year since I did this, and I can't say anything about actually
putting pictures on the site.

Hey Ming!
Well their really isn't a specific Braille Display that works better with
Jaws. It is a preference. I use a focus with Jaws and works for me. I like
how it doesn't have a plug that I have to plug it in to the outlet. I can
pretty much carry it around to another computer because it is
The focus is what I use and has a Braille keyboard. It works pretty well,
but you have to download a specific software to make the Braille keyboard
work. I also sometimes use my Braille note. It depends on what is near me at
the time and how lazy I want to be. *smiles*

Wow, where to start.
I use the Braille display strictly for my job;. I fill out forms with it. I
don't have to do much browsing with it, but you can. I read scripts too, and
it's a lot easier Reading scripts in Braille than trying to hear or memorize
them. I also use speech, but not

Office 2007 still has menus, but they operate different and are named
different.
Some of the old keyboard commands work, for example, Alt O, F still
brings you to the Font page.
But we now have to deal with ribbon menus.
Alt P will put you in the page layout tab, and then you will tab through
