Hi Folks,
I'm using Goldwave 5.25, latest build of the scripts, and a laptop running
Windows XP SP3 and Jaws 9, latest build.
Can anyone tell me how to place cue points into a long file.
I have a four hundred minute audio file in MP3 that I need to split up into
smaller tracks.

Actually, the graphics labeler seems to work without routing the PC cursor
to JAWS- even though you had to do that several versions ago. I am however
confused by the directions to press Control-Insert-GO, instead of
Control-Insert-G. Can someone clarify? Thanks.

A student had it about 3 years ago and we eventually removed it due to the
difficulty of accessing and focus problems with JAWS. Could not recommend
based on this limited exposure.

Okay, let me try this again,
the keystroke is:
control insert G
I seem to be having a keyboard problem here.
Might just be the CTKI.

Hello,
I can create the bulleted or numbered lists.
My question was about the heading of the list.
Is there a way to add list of xx items, xx being the number of items in the
list? I have noticed others use this type of
formatting and wanted to know if this is a special formatting for the

Hi Victor,
When I've done cue points before, Jaws didn't say anything, but when I
split the file, it seemed to have put the cue points where I wanted
them. So the answer to your question is, even though Jaws doesn't tell
you it's adding them, the points are there.

We've found a strange occurrence in JAWS with Office. If you type a
number greater than 31 followed by CAN, must be all caps, JAWS
pronounces it as Canadian Dollars. So the typed phrase, 32 CAN GO TO
THE DANCE, comes out as 32 Canadian Dollars go to the dance. Anybody
know how to shut that
normally if you highline the document you want to sen and press application
key and go up or down using the arrow, you can see your program and zip it.
The program is easy to use and works well with jaws.
Kind Regard

You can't turn off the voice's own internal dictionary. (You can only
modify it, as you have done, by over-riding its speech within the .jdf.) I
suspect that FS will have to do the same, if there's enough knowledge or
demand for such changes, so as to cater for different voices. there are
