Hi Lennie:
I don't think zone alarm has anything to do with your losing focus, with
JAWS11 I have lost focus problems quite a bit. I think it is just something
we will have to live with untill FS fixs it.

Hi George,
Yes, the problem does not have to do with Zone Alarm. I have shut it
down and the problem still occurred. It is also the same with Jaws 10.
It may be a coincidence, but the problem started after I installed
the latest version of Zone Alarm. The desktop was always in focus
before
I am fairly sure that Windows Live Mail will not work well with JAWS 8 since
I do not think Live existed at the time. I have had the best luck using
JAWS 10 with Windows Live Mail! In fact, I have been switching from JAWS 11
back to JAWS 10 just to read mail and then switching back to JAWS 11
Lennie I think it does have to do with JAWS,, it not only loses focus on the
desktop but also at other places.

This is part of a new feature called filter duplicate links, where if
JAWS sees a graphical link and a text link that points to the same
thing, it filters out the graphical link.

Using JAWS 11 latest with Windows Live Mail, I can move between folders all
works well. It will announce unread and attachment when appropriate, all is

Sorry about that. I just noticed you say that you wanted to use Windows

mentioned Mail! Sorry for taking this thread off topic.
Again, I do not think JAWS 8 will work with any Live components well, since
