I just heard from someone who went to get a new laptop just a week ago. He
said that the Function key row at the top of the keyboard is gone. It has
been replaced with new keys that work differently. He said that he looked
at several computers and they all are missing the Function key
I just came in on this thread but I have a new ASUS laptop and it has a
series of key combinations that I never ran into before. On the bottom left
row of keys there is a special Function Key that is just to the right of the
Control key. A sighted friend pointed out that I have a whole series of

HI. notusing the latest version of messenger think i'm using the older
one, but that happens to me sometimes too.
I've found the only way to type a sensible mesage in that case is to
type it in note pad and copy and paste it.
this doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen.
