Which version of JAWS is important. From JAWS11 on, only the parallel port is supported, so from then on it may be parallel-to-USB (or straight parallel). With JAWS10 and before, the powerBraille is supposed to work with a serial cable. (Serial-to-USB, as it may be.) - Original Message ---
