'Tethering' the JAWS cursor to follow the PC cursor is ok for the
instance, but not for our usual use outside of the circumstance you'rre
citing. Therefore you should untether again when you no longer require
this. There's also a setting, "screen track virtual cursor" which will
Hi Ann & Rick,
Changing the folder names to blah blah.txt would not allow me to delete
them. Rick, I can't seem to get to the end of the app data path, for
whatever reason. It's crazy!
Take care.

Hi Mike,
I ran into this quite some time ago, but I got the error from my XP system.
Since these are on your backup drive, I take it replicator put them there?
If you were to follow the path on the backup drive,, I think you might find
that "App Data", is replicated many times

actually that is not always correct. One may set up jaws in a number of
configurations. One is desktop set up another is laptop configuration. The
jaws key, when in the laptop configuration, is defined as the caplock key.
So, you see the key that is configured to performe jaws commands is the jaws

Highlight file
press F2 key press end key and add extension .txt to file name and then

Hi, I am having trouble with the Jaws check for updates feature.
When I install updates, they are not being removed from the list of available

Hi Alan & Tom,
I don't know how accurate it is if you tether the Jaws cursor to the PC
cursor or, if this should be used as a common practice but, I'm definitely
going to try it when I have my wife look at a webpage so she can see exactly
where I'm at, maybe if it works as advertised, rather th
Hi Miriam,
The Jaws cursor button / key is the, NumPad Minus button / key, when the
NumPad is not locked. But, on the other hand, not to get the 2 confused,
the, Jaws Key is the, Insert Key, the, 0, key on the NumPad. HTH
Take care.

I should have read through more of my mail before responding.I ask because
the virtual and system cursors are rarely in sync so I was skeptical about this
one.
Does tethering the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor reliably track each other?

JawsKey + escape refreshes the page but doesn't necessarily give the results
you want. This is a question I have often asked and have been asked but I have
not had a definitive answer. My experience is that they can't reliably track
what you are seeing.
I would be most interested if I am wrong
got it, thanks

Hi
I think the simplest way would be to go to your JAWS user settings folder and
then select all the items in that folder and copy them to the clipboard. Then
create a new folder in that folder and give it a name. Now open that folder
and paste everything from the clipboard into it. Details
