The best you can do with Windows 8 is to install a third party start menu
such as Classic Shell, or Start 8. Both can be found through a web search.
Classic Shell is Free, Start 8 is not. I didn't read, but if you are running

I am certain turning off the computer using the "hard boot" can cause
damage over time. At it used to happen that way. I think the better way is
to find a solution. Have you tried calling Freedom Scientific or the

Hello,
Here are three different methods you can try and hopefully one of them works
for you.
Below are the steps that should work in Word 2010:
Method 1:
1. When in Word 2010 press Alt+F to enter the backstage view.
2. Use down arrow key to the Open tab.
3. Us
No that would not have worked because the screen was totally blank as if
it was in sleep mode. and nothing I did would get it back again.

What happens if you turn it off and then reboot it? I would think that
would work to get it out of sleep mode.

I have never attempted to send an attachment to any e-mail list.
To be quite honest, I wasn't aware of the restriction since it never applied

Thanks for the reminder.

Hi
There's really no way to make Windows 8 look like a previous version of
Windows. The start menu has been replaced by the start screen. In Windows
8.1, the menus in folders have been replaced by ribbons. As was posted,
with JAWS you want to be running the desktop version of Internet Explorer.

always had for years and years.
Normally, if you go to the Start screen, you'
