I am using W7, Outlook 2010 and jaws 16. While installing windows updates my computer locked up and I couldn't do anything with jaws 16 and I had to do a hard shutdown. After this, I couldn't do anything with jaws 16 so I uninstalled jaws 16 and then reinstalled it. Since this, I have had date

How about the Fn key? Does it have special functions with several of the other keys? Might you have turned it on again, having previously disabled it? (That, or a dirty klaptop keyboard, would not affect the use of an external keyboard.) I'm currently getting my Toshiba laptop keyboard

I did as directed and Jaws cursor still reads nothing except some graphic numbers. Also, Jaws did not recognize forms mode on my Google home page so I put it back the way it was and the forms mode works again. Using latest Jaws and latest FF on Win 7. Maybe these directions are for Win 8?
