Jaws keeps stating this, after I'm done typing, at least in outlook. I
haven't noticed it anywhere else using office 2013 and windows 10 jaws v.

Thanks for this very valuable information on using Windows Narrator to
install Jaws on a new Windows computer.
I always like to find ways around needing sighted assistance for these sorts
of things, and I'll save this info for future reference.
Thanks very much again!

Hi Wayne,
When you boot the computer, wait a minute or two, to allow the system too
load everything,
then press the Windows key + the Letter U, to open the "Ease of Access
Center".
Next, press Alt + the letter N, to start Narrator.
Be patient, Narrator may take a few seconds to start talking.

on OSs earlier than 10

"|" is a single character. What is "cell". What is actually on the screen?
If it is a single character that JAWS speaks as "cell", could you put that
single character in the dictionary with "|" as its replacement?

Hello.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for using jaws with Net Flix? I am
using Windows 7 and the latest version of JAWS.
Thanks for any help.

Nothing is on the screen. The announced word "cell" probably assigned
programatically (inner and not trough JAWS Script) to HTML-element.
You can modify the announced text if you modify the markup assigned to
this control. To do so, you have to modify the used speech and sounds

I recently listened to an archived recording of an event from the Pat

No, I've tried. "cell" is what jaws says in screen layout between columns on a
table. This is within an HTML document, web site, etc. Jaws is saying "cell"
between the columns. When reading by character it is like one character, but
you can't add it to the dictionary.

Hello Becky,
I have not subscribed to Netfilx in a while, but I remember that Jaws worked
very well with the Netflix web site. I was always able to find the programs
that I wished to watch and click on the link to start them playing. The
search works very well, and all elements of the web
Can't you skip the ease of access and just use the windows key enter to fire
up the windows narrator.
I know you said Alt n to fire up narraotr.
But windows key enter also will fire up narrator.
If we can fire up narrator, why go to the ease of access and then go to
narrator?
Can't we elimate

Hi Ron,
That particular keystroke does not work in Windows 7, it was to Microsoft
