I think the problem has existed since JAWS 16, and they are finally now
realizing they have a problem? Well, better late than never, I suppose.

Hi all,
I know you can press insert and the number one on the top row to be told
which keys are which like up and down arrow.
Is there a way to get the other keys like alt, windows control to be
announced so if someone has a new laptop they can learn where all keys are?

If you open the Settings Center while in an application, it'll open in the

I believe from any running application, if you press the Insert+6, on the

Does ByteFence show up on your computer's list of available programs? Does

Hi Mike, you can also get to settings center, if you run Jaws from the system

time, Down arrow to settings center, press Enter. If you do it this way, the
default page is already selected. No need of pressing

For this reason, I keep J16 live so can have speech. I had a sense that

Hi Mr. Ed,
Sorry about that! The keystroke is, Insert / Jaws Key + 6, on the number

I think the problem is that when Jaws crashes like this, the key strokes
don't work, or at least not consistently.

The Mail app is working fine for me, how do you think I wrote this lesson. Yes,
they need to improve some issues with Jaws. But over all for a basic email
client, the mail app works just fine. You need to play around with the settings
for each account, and see what settings work best for you.

just a specific one? Thanks.

I have noticed the Jaws crashing issue here as well, using Jaws 18 on my

It seems to happen occasionally when I am exiting out of a Microsoft Word

Very disconcerting,
