Hi Ted,
If you have Doug Lee's JAWS scripts for YouTube installed, you can press the
Command key (left bracket by default in case of an English keyboard layout) and
then the letter S.
If not, you will manually have to move to the Skip Ad button and press it,
which is a bit harder.
Hope it
Dear List:
What procedure do I use with Jaws to skip adds that are playing when I go
into Youtube? Thanks. Regards: Ted Larson

Hi all,
I'm applying for a job where they use Xero as the accounting package.
Wondering if anyone has had experience with it and if it is usable with
Jaws?
tia.

One workaround is to put the message into IE. You do this by pressing alt+h, a,
v. that is, alt and h together, release, then a and release, then v.

This is a bit off topic, I guess, because it concerns the Focus 40
display scrolling feature. I have a friend who recently purchased one of
these displays and described the auto-scrolll feature working well with
JAWS. My question is whether it works in other situations, not just with
JAWS. For
I have this issue as well.

Yes, there are. I brought it to VFO's attention by email and on the phone a
month or two ago without getting any good answer or promises for a fix. As Dave
urged, I hope everyone experiencing it will notify VFO.

Yes. Only solution I've found is to do a JAWS+Windows+F4 restart. Something
in JAWS is getting confused, cluttered, or forgetful.

I have an older Focus 40 blue display. It was not displaying cells
correctly so I did not use it for about five years. But as a last resort
I took it to a PC store and they cleaned the dust out. While it isn'tÂ
perfect it is very much more useable. in fact I'm typing this email
using it right
yes it was. just because its discontinued doesn't mean it stopped working.
i will continue to use window eyes until it stops working.
it works perfectly fine with all of the programs i have on my computer. jaws
does not. even for little things.

John,
Just forwarded our thread to supp...@freedomscientific.com. I recommend you
do the same. Also on your work computer, is it using Windows 7 or Windows
10?

John,
I'm having the same issue with latest (and a couple builds before that) and
Windows 7. My email client is OE, but same issue with html messages. Only
solution is to use JAWS+Windows+F4 to dump and restart JAWS. Then it's fine.
Happens a couple times a day.
Dave
Oregonian, woodworker,
Hi. I'm still having the vexing and annoying issue of the latest issue of
JAWS periodically changing how it reads Outlook messages (windows-7, Outlook
2010). JAWS will be doing a great job of reading a message, then, for no
apparent reason, when I bring up the next message, read all kinds of info:
Yes, Window Eyes was discontinued in 2016 after AI Squared merged with
Freedom Scientific to create VFO, and all W.E. users were migrated to JAWS.
