Either f4 or spacebar to launch a scan. However if you have Openbook in edit
mode, then only f4 will launch a scan. The default Openbook voice is very
similar to eloquence, so likely that is what you are hearing.

it to read sporadically enough to gather the data that was essential, then I
cut it open with pliers and a screwdriver to see what makes it tick. Now a

Yes, now I will insert a caveat that these are running on an XP operating
system at 32 bits. I hear that access times are affected by this
