between hitting escape and alt S.
Alt S does make more sense intuitively, though.

I tab over to the message option, and hit the escape key, which asks if you
want to save the info. I say yes, and it is saved.
Don't know if that is easier than what you do, but this is what seems to
work for me.

Once you're done typing the email address on the third email edit..
Which is about 7 tabs down
Just press Alt + S.
Then, you will return back to the inbox.
