I am using JAWS 12 and windows 7 and seem unable to get the different voices to
work apart from Daniel there’s a female English voice isn't there how do I

although this subject is off-topic, and since the moderator got the

Greetings,
I wonder if someone can help with a problem. When ever I use the key stroke
jaws key, control and home to get to the search field on a web page, the

i think he said that because it isn't jaws related but windows related in
general. I may be wrong wiht that but I think that's where his thinking is in
regarding the startmenu thread.

Hi Patti;
Below are 2 different things to stop Jaws from saying that superscript

Well already answered that one, but will again, also to why some

When you hit start menu in windows7 you get a search field, nothing
like xp, its a whole new ball game.
See the problem your having is not with jaws or has anything to do

It also does not install the extra manager and as part of this also

I’ve half achieved this but it keeps going back to the ordinary JAWS voice and

download the voices I wanted to choose from but are they not recognisable with
Windows 7 or do I have to install from the CD?
Mandy.
You need to choose SAPI5. then choose from among the person combo box.

Hi David.
I can’t remember which voice it is I want, it is one of the English voices and
female I only have Daniel currently. There is one that sounds a bit like the
voice over on the Apple products that’s the one I want.

The search box IS NOT AT THE TOP OF THE MENU it is at the bottom it just so
happens that when you press the windows key you are in the Search box and if
you arrow down the cursor is rolling over to make it seem like it is at
the top!
