I am having intermittent issues with logging in on 2 different Windows10
machines and I am running 2018. I have not called for technical assistance,
because there seems to be many different scenarios, or else I am losing my
mind.

Hi,
There was an update to JAWS 18.0 (not 2018) that came out today that should
fix this problem. I'll also forward this question to a more Windows 10
oriented list to see if others can post their replies here.
Cheers,
Joseph

Hello Everyone,
I'm using Windows 10 with JAWS version 17.0.2729.
I'm seeking input regarding a recurring problem that I'm experiencing when

Whenever there has been a Windows 10 update, JAWS does not speak at the

Hello, everyone.
First, thanks to Mike for posting the links to the latest Jaws update.
To be honest, though, I'm a bit disappointed that the well-known Outlook
crashing issue hasn't been addressed this time around.

I don't have an answer for you regarding the problem, other than to echo
someone else's comment that a recent JAWS 18 update supposedly addresses
this issue.
I can offer a work-around, however. You can configure Windows 10 to
automatically log into a specified default user account. This
I, also, am grateful for the link. It does prevent my email from crashing
when I put in an address. Apparently, I no longer have to go into safe mode.
However, it is not doing the auto complete for me.

Hi Annette,
You're not losing your mind. The logon process is really problematic with
Windows 10 and JAWS. I've had issues with it right from my first Windows 10
and all releases of JAWS 18 and now 2018. I mentioned it to an FS techie
when I called about another problem and his response was,
This is an issue following the recent Fall Creators Update to Windows 10.
It is being patched in Jaws 18 and 2018.
The issue only usually occurs when rebooting.
When you next have updates try going to the desktop, press Alt + F4 and
select shutdown.
The updates should still install while the
