Hello all,
Does anyone know if JAWS 11 has fixed things where in Windows 7 a system
setting could cause the Freedom Scientific Mirror Display Driver to be
corrupt, requiring a removal of the driver and a repair of JAWS to fix the
problem? Just curious. Thanks.

Jfw 11 seems shakier with firefox than 10.00 is. It pretty mch doesn't work
with google reader and it still has that annoying response delay in speech.

Thanks for the update. I look forward to trying out the new beta. I have one
question though regarding jfw 11. Not necessarily having to do with this or
that bug or enhancement, but rather if this beta or if jfw 11 in general
will work with the possible iTunes upgrade that Apple's going to put out
I know that the Canadian government has banned the sale of DirecTV. I hear
that many Canadians buy used equipment and hack the service. Apparently,
DirecTV turns a blind eye to this piracy. Here in the States, they would
aggressively shut them down.

Hi All
I've experienced this problem with Jaws 10 and 11 on win7 also. How did you
remove the driver? I know jaws suggested running the setup with the the
-repair thing but when I did that, it didn't fix the problem. I was so
desperate that I reinstalled windows 7.

do not announce that fact. Has anybody else noticed this
David, are you using the space bar, or the enter key. I've noticed that
makes a difference at times.

Hmm, I have much better luck with firefox with JAWS 11, at least it can see
visited links and stuff. Guess that's difference in video drivers and such.
Have a good day.

I normally check boxes with the space bar and radio buttons the same way.
Trust me a lot in using the mailman program.

Sometimes for me anyway, when forms mode is in automatic, check boxes that
weren't supposed to be checked end up being checked. I try to find the one
to check, then I check it and then immediately go to the virtual cursor so
that hopefully, it doesn't become unchecked. It's a problem for me as
It's not a large deal for me but just something I noticed is all. Each
version often contains a growing pains period where things get ironed out I
imagine. For me at least I favor the old method of turning on forms mode
when I need it rather than JAWS doing it for me. It's a personal choice
In Outlook 2007, you don't have a choice, as Word is the default editor,
and I don't think you can change that.

Hello,
I installed jaws 11 beta and noticed a thing that I miss so much from the
previous versions. Let me explain.
I use eloquence as my primary voice profile. For reading with alternate say
all feature I used a sapi5 voice for bulgarian language. This was with jaws
8, 9 and 10. Now I see
With JAWS 10 and auto forms mode, I notice that sometimes, when I am
entering a password, for example, that the first character or two are
sometimes chopped off, even though I know that I typed them. I think
that JAWS is the culprate, because it doesn't happen with another screen
reader. Perhaps
just wondering if others have herd of this and weather this new version is
accessible? many thanks. from Mich.

Hi,
The battery status can be checked with Jaws key + shift key + B, but the AC
power must not be active.

I assume you mean on a laptop. Go to the Desktop and look in the System Tray
portion of the Taskbar panel at the bottom of the screen. Use the left and
right arrows once in the system tray to move across and it will tell you.
It's the same area where you would adjust the volume.
