This is probably a JAWS thing. Did you upgrade JAWS using the help menu? If so, downloading/re-installing from FS should fix the problem. When I upgraded using the help menu, neither Word nor Internet Explorer would work properly. It was a real trick to locate the files to download JAWS.

Hello there; Perhaps you can tell us the steps you take? As for downloading a book, When you enter on the download button, just press alt+s to save, It then will download into your default folder, which is most likely your downloads folder, which is found in your username folder.

OK. I downloaded the New Yorker from Audible and it appears to have worked although I am not clear about the sequence of steps I took. But I think that what I have to do is press the download link, then alt S and then alt N to know what is happening. The New Yorker did get to where it was

Jim, The download dialog is a bit different. I think the main problem is the other person is a neophyte and there are a few different commands with IE9 in terms of the downloading process. I don't use IE9 except on other people's machines because I am still using XP. - Original
