Hi Patti,
I just recompiled my SkypeWatch script and JAWS is announcing when someone
comes on line. Try the following to see if it works for you:
When focus is in Skype use insert with 0 to open the Skype.JSS file.
Go under the File menu and press enter
I am using Win 7, but have noticed some sluggishness on web pages using JAWS
18.

But I disagree with you. I have JAWS 15, 16, 17, and 18. IE11 works just
fine with JAWS 15 and 16 (no delay in the find function), and JAWS 17 and 18

I was going to ask what version of Windows you are running, but see that
it is 10.
This must be a Windows 10 thing, I'm running 32 bit Windows 7 Home

If you are using Windows 10, try selecting Windows + Tab. Then arrow left or

Sometimes during an installation the UAC gets pushed behind after it is

Hi Jim,
I just had this problem. Chec and see what level User Account Control in
Control Panel is set at. If it is at 33%, increase it to 66%. That fixed it
for me. Alternatively, you can temporarily put it at 0% while you install

I have yet to install 18. I made my reply to simply state it's happening here

I think IE 11 just sucks and is the problem.
Let's all convert to chrome.

It is for that reason that I don't rely on IE to save all my passwords.

Since the latest upgrade of jaws 18 it crashes 9 out of ten times when I open
ie11 on my windows10 pc. Then I must wait until it restarts. I find it to be
less responsive in firefox. Do other listers also encounter this?
