Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws & Speak Dropbox

2017-12-24 Thread Robin Frost

Hi,
I know it confused me at first I wasn't sure if it meant it'd speak updates
to drop box itself or whether it meant it was checking for updates to the
scripts themselves. I'm glad it helped and a joyous Christmas and holiday
season to all as well.

Hi Robin,

You nailed it! I've played with different configurations of settings so
many times in the Speak Dropbox configuration window, but the 1 thing I
never turned off / unchecked was the, Automatically Speak Dropbox Status,
option. I always thought this option was the option that would tell me if
Dropbox was up to date or not. Well, turning this option off has seemed to
solve the excessive updating chattering problem! Thank you very much for
your reply. Merry Christmas to you, yours, & everyone else!

[JAWS-Users] Jaws & Speak Dropbox

2016-06-10 Thread Mike B
Hi All,

Running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit & Jaws 16. After uninstalling CCleaner Speak
Dropbox quit using the Jaws voice to tell me that Dropbox is connecting & is
up to date. Also pressing the, Alt, Windows key, + D, keystroke 1 time to
hear Dropbox status doesn't work, but, pressing it twice does open the
Dropbox menu. The, Alt, Windows key, + M, keystrokes works as well. I do
hear sounds for files being downloaded & connecting but, like I said, I'm
just not getting Jaws telling me that the Dropbox has been found, it's
connecting, & is up to date. All my settings are correct so, can someone
how I can get the status keystroke back & how I can get Jaws to audibly
report Dropbox status, connecting, up to date, & found the Dropbox icon?
All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
Take care.

The only way I've been using DB is whit shared folders. I open DB
through the programs menu.
When DB is launched, it goes to my systems tray. From there I open DB
as I said, find the folder I want, copy files into it and close.
Try looking for the program through the all programs menu, rather than
your possibly broken shortcut.

DB seems to be working fine for me using W7 and JAWS 17.

If it is a shared folder, the other person has to accept the shared status.
Anyway, I do have several shared folders that others have helped me with.
So first I open the Dropbox program, find the shared folder and open it,
copy the selected files I want to share into this folder. You should see

2016-02-24 Thread DGH

You should have a Dropbox folder on your PC's hard drive.
Open your hard drive, then go to users, next select your user name and open
it.
Now go to your Dropbox folder.
You can create folders and copy files into it and they are uploaded to
Dropbox.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS with Dropbox

2016-02-24 Thread wayne smith
I have a dropbox account and I created a folder with no difficulty and then
I opened the empty folder and uploaded the audio files I wanted there. The
problem is that the files did not go into the open folder but instead ended
up in the box in no folder. Are there folks out there using Dropbox with
JAWS 15 and, if so, are you able to direct your uploads to a folder? I
don't know if JAWS is failing to read something as far as directing the
upload.

Thaniks in advance for any help,

[JAWS-Users] Jaws and Dropbox

2015-02-15 Thread Martin Blackwell
Hi, has anyone been successful using JAWS with Dropbox? Are there any user
guides out there for JAWS? I've found some help by searching and this list's
Tips page tells how to share a folder, but more would be appreciated.

Martin
