CAPTCHA
I am using Firefox 58 beta, with NVDA, and it is so snappy and the web sites
load as fast as with Chrome. It is unbelievable!

My audio solution has become this. Open a word document and then listen to
the audio and type what I hear. Being a tiny bit older than some on the
list, I just try for 3 or 4 numbers or letters at a time
surprisingly hard to
come up with universal trivia.

The text and background is intentionally done as Dave said. It is meant to
make it impossible to be recognized by OCR. I have heard a few audio CAPTCHs
that, without distortion, would say something like "Jim had two cows and a
horse. He sold a cow. How many horses were

Nope. Captchas are written in very hard-to-read text, on a very hard-to-read
foreground/background color combination.

I use Webvisum all the time, and I have yet to come across an image it does
not solve.
I do use an older version of Firefox, but since I only use it for solving
images, I don't feel the need to update it since most, if not all my web
browsing is done in Internet Explorer.
Either way, it
egularly, and indeed, the software itself greatly encourages
this, for various perfectly sensible reasons.
