Re: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game?
An XP game would probably still work on Windows 10, though maybe in compatibility mode. Any that don't have multiple choice? I looked at trivia crack and it seems cool, but it'd be nicer to have one that let you type in answers. I guess multiple choice is normal these days, but I'm thinking of the trivial pursuit board-game, of course, where you just have to make your best guess or decline if you haven't a clue. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of cheez Sent: October 3, 2017 7:33 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game? Re: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game?
Cheers. It wasn't a great joke but it was still kind of funny. There used to be a talking jeopardy game for the old Apple 2 computer. Quite an irony if we can't get an accessible one nowadays. Still, I always thought the format of Jeopardy to be a bit too artificial even though the show is fun, so Trivia Crack should suit me well. When I get a chance to try it, I'll report on the Windows 10 app. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Dennis Long Sent: October 2, 2017 12:32 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game? I thank you as well, it's just that something like that if it were under the table so to speak could put us out of business. I really wasn't worried too much as I didn't check my email since yesterday afternoon early. I know there are good people on here and my team stay on top of things. So what does this game do? Trivia Crack is definitely legal. I play it a lot on my iPhone. Re: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game?
I haven’t tested the Windows 10 app, because there was no Windows 10 when this game was popular in my country. However, it might be better than the browser if you know how to use the JAWS touch cursor. When this game was popular and I played from PC, I used the web browser and it is only accessible to minimally play, but other features are not too friendly unless you use the Android or iOS apps. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of JM Casey Sent: Sunday, October 1, 2017 1:33 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game? Re: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game?
The late Jim Kitchen had a trivia game within his set of games. I don't remember if David had a direct link to his website, but I think his game page address was: http://www.kitchensinc.net/# But you can get all the games at the following website: https://www.agarchive.net/pages/devs/kitchensinc.html Hope this helps. Trivia Crack is a nice option. It can be played from a web browser and has apps for Windows 10, Android and iOS. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of JM Casey Sent: Saturday, September 30, 2017 6:19 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Trivia game? Hey everyone. I don't normally post requests like this, but hopefully this is alright, and JAWS-related enough in the sense that I do want something that will, obviously, work well with the screen-reader. My girlfriend and I were just talking about games we could play. I have an old braille monopoly board from probably around the late 70s, and we just played a tense and nail-biting game. I always wanted a Trivial Pursuit game with all the questions in braille and a tactile board, but as far as I know that's never been a thing. We decided we both like trivia games, so I was wondering if anyone here knows about any available for PC? I'm not necessarily looking for something online, although I suppose that'd be fine really - just something that the two of us can play here on nights we feel like staying in. It should be something a sighted person can also easily play, too, so although I do appreciate for example the RS Games site (no trivia on there to my knowledge, but I bring it up because it's a site/client especially geared toward blind players), something with a little more screen feedback would be cool. I'm willing to shell out a few dollars for this, but of course we don't need anything too fancy or elaborate - just something with a good database of questions and answers. What do you all think?
