what exactly you mean by the high availability and distributed
requirements? Our app is distributed and needs HA as well and we do
fulfil all of the requirements using the architecture I described.

server. We use Toplink+JBoss using the following model:
SessionBeans-PureJavaObjects mapped by Toplink-DB. We have written a
MBean that encapsulates integration/configuration of Toplink within a

With version 3.5.3 of Toplink it works quite well.
