I have a problem with jess editor for eclipse. I had make some changes
in my java files, basicaly i had change some classes and methods,
changes which i knew will affect the rules, so i went to try to open my
rules files in order to adapt them, but i can't. The jess editor
appears, but doesn't
The Jess editor actually loads classes that you mention in Jess code
into the Eclipse VM. Therefore, if your classes have nontrivial static
initializers, there can be problems. For example, if you have a static
initializer that tries to make a network connection, or something like
that.

Hi,
I just started working with Jess (7.1p1) in Eclipse and unfortunately,
like several others reported earlier, I too have the problem that
Eclipse completely

messages at all, it just hangs up (Windows reports that it has
Hi Jeen,
It's like Bigfoot or UFOs... we need to have some incontrovertible physical
evidence like a stack trace, error message, log file entry, or something
that shows what's happening. I've never found any clue -- Eclipse just

Hi,
I had the same problem with Eclipse 3.2 and Jess 7.0 and 7.1a2.
Now I don't have it: I use Eclipse Europe (3.3.1) and JDK 6 Update 2 and Jess
7.1a3.
I don't have problems with freeze or crashes by eclipse. I think the best way

I hope I

Hi,
I am using Eclipse SDK (Version: 3.2.1, Build id: M20060921-0945)
together with Jess70p1.
The Jess editor crashes frequently, especially when I save a Jess file.
Is anyone having similar problems? Is there a known way to fix this?
Henrique

This sounds like my gremlin that I mentioned to you earlier.
Hopefully Henrique can get you a concrete example. There never were any

command was executed. At first I thought that it was related to the

Hi,
I have just installed Jess plugins for Eclipse, which seem to work fine.
However, I also tried installing it with IBM Rational, which runs over
Eclipse as well. I get an error message when I try to open a jess (.clp)
file:
